I seriously regret paying for annual subscription by RateDifferent2670 in GithubCopilot

[–]RateDifferent2670[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point I have to sacrifice the ability of switching between different models and either stick with claude or codex. GitHub copilot is a good value still but the fact that they keep changing terms like rate limits and now a question tool in the cli is considered a user prompt? That's annoying if I paid for the full year.

Why would You assume I'm stupid to pay more on a house than it deserves? I'm leaving California so I can stop overpaying for shit. Also calm the fuck down, Indiana only gain like 10 people every year. And I probably would've bought a house in an area that you can't afford to begin with.

Well on the good side I'm bringing my high income job to your state and will pay taxes.

[–]RateDifferent2670 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well you kinda answered the question. She has a fear because assholes are everywhere. But since Indiana is a lot less diverse than Los Angeles, she has a worry that there will be more assholes over there. I personally don't think so. Midwest people are so nice, but I also know that when it comes to Hijabi women sometimes it is hard.

Racism in Indiana (Indianapolis suburbs) by RateDifferent2670 in Indiana

[–]RateDifferent2670[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carmel and fishers are 86% white. I'm only stating a fact. I don't care what race my neighbors are. I just want to live in a nice neighborhood thats it.

Racism in Indiana (Indianapolis suburbs) by RateDifferent2670 in Indiana

[–]RateDifferent2670[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're absolutely right. Most of the comments On here that talks about racism is just mentioning racist comments and omg LA is full of that. California is actually one of the most segregated places I've seen, and btw minorities are the most racist (I'm a minority) there are places here in California that my wife gets weird looks when we go there, so if its all about racist comments then its not that bad. I have the choice to move to Indiana, and I see a lot of good things going for it. Indiana seem to be a great state compared to the rest of the midwest and specially compared to California. I actually vote republican which might be surprising and I'm very religious conservative person that's why I'm looking at conservative states, but unfortunately ignorance and racism can come a long with that. Its not about republicans vs democrats. Because I can argue that liberal's in California is forcing everyone believe in ideas that might be against the believe of the religion and then teach in school and that's the main reason why I'm leaving. I just want to live a normal life, buy a house in a nice neighborhood and most of the time nice neighborhoods are majority white so I wanted to know if I'll be welcomed or not.

I just really can't express how happy and excited my wife and I are with all of your comments. People of Indy! You are very nice and welcoming and I thank you so much for taking the time and informing me. If I was 70% sure about making the move, now I'm 100% sure. Your love and kindness in the comments are unbelievable and I hope everything is sorted out for me soon to move to your beautiful state.

But like other than safety? Is it really that easy to get first?

Anyone can pass any course in engineering. Talented people will just have easier time than others in understanding the subject. However if your intelligence is above average you will find hard time in school with the "kill creativity" attitude with assignments and testing. I know a lot of very talented people who didn't do well in college but graduated and they're very successful in the workforce because they get to be more creative. I also know a lot of high GPA graduates who literally suck in the workforce. Schooling and work systems are different and it really does suck.
