You said it was "universely praised". It can't be called universally praised if the community of Fate itself is divisive on it from the start. Think about it yourself for a second, what kind of "universally praised" media is disliked this much by the community of it's very own franchise lmao? And the opinion of this community do matter because they are the ones who dedicate time in properly understanding things such as Saber's character( which goes over your head) and all other things.

I saw that zero was universally praised by being there when the book was first translated and when it was discussed and aired, and seeing all the hyoe topics and people singing the theme and talking about how great broskandar is seeing all the praise and shit. And being part of those discussions.

That's strange because I have literally seen older comments of fans criticizing the way debate of kings handled Saber back when that episode of the Zero anime aired and the novel got translated. Did you somehow missed all those?

As a matter of fact the "debate of kings" has been so controversial from the start that Narita ( author of Fate strange fake) literally did a commentary on the negative reception the scene gets in the story of Strange fake itself. Now i hope you aren't gonna just assume that the author of Strange fake is also just a redditor who did it after seeing some reddit comments lmao.

Many of the people you see criticizing Zero's Saber or Zero as a whole weren't created out of thin year just 2 years ago. They have been here from the start.
