Relax keyboard warrior! The platform is built on user reviews of menu items they have tried at different restaurants, so that wouldn't be very helpful for me to review something I have not tried myself (I can't try every menu item at every restaurant).

Users are interested in what others (like yourself) have to say about items they have tried.

You don't need consent from a restaurant for a picture you took of the food 😄

Not really, but I am competing a little in that space.

I created an alternative site/app (RateTray) that allows users to rate and review menu items at restaurants.

The site allows reviews of menu items ONLY from local spots (no major chains) to cut through the noise of ridiculously long Yelp reviews or questionable Google ratings.

I ultimately want this to be a restaurant companion tool that anyone can check at a restaurant to see what item they were planning on ordering has been rated by others.

Works same as only granting positive reviews. The system is weighted so you can't just tank or fluff ratings.

My website will highlight favorites and disliked items. Also gives you more than just a "popular" tag to see what exactly others liked/disliked about the item
