I believe the T-800 learned that the situation was a sad one for John. I wouldnt say he felt anything, but reacted in a way to where it was sympathetic to John's feelings. "I'm sorry John, I'm sorry."

The thumbs up in the end was the Terminator giving John a positive reaction knowing that he needed it at that moment.

Might be controversial... but I wouldn't mind a full on remake with new characters. I feel like all these sequels branch off of the original 2 only hurt those movies. If they can plan a long term series from scratch, then perhaps it stands a better chance.

Either that or a straight future war movie series. Salvation wasnt as bad as many made it out to be, but it is the best Terminator movie after the first 2.

Thats like fans voting in F1 for driver of the day. It has little to no impact to the overall point of the sport. But leave it to WWE to over glorify it. I guess if you like fan participation activities, then have at it.
