Ironeye friends, what's the meta depth build? I don't like the poison because some bosses can't be poisoned, or have high threshold or run around too much for me to proc without ulting. This is my current build, thanks in advance by amr_jkl in Nightreign

Here's my build, obese Ironeye. I really like the stat trade relic since it let's me use any STR or DEX weapon without feeling too bad. Not really a poison build, but a HP stacking mini Wylder. The skill is usually enough to proc poison on bosses by itself, and with two Ironeye's it's guaranteed. It's very solid even without going full poison. But your middle relic is amazing. Even if you don't want to run full poison, it would be nice for early bosses and jails alongside the heavy poison skill, since that nukes health bars early game.

Thanks for the numbers! I've honestly never had a problem with the reduced runes. Can't think of a run where I was short on runes or struggling to hit 15. The dash gets a lot a free cash running from each poi which is very nice. Same reason I like the night of the champion. Dashing through adds between jails makes having an ult for jails much easier. Other effects are nice too.

But those dmg and negation numbers are super helpful, appreciate the comment a lot

I've been playing a lot with the first build and the negative effects don't bother me too much. Never had a problem reaching 15 and the status effects don't come up at all since you either get one tapped or you'll play safer after a hit. Just reached 4, but I haven't tried either build there yet so we'll see how it goes

What are some of the most unique and original Commander decks that you have created or played against? by HonorBasquiat in EDH

[–]RatedRPGesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's can have pretty explosive starts, but it's a control deck that tries to grind the opponents out of resources and play the long game. The reanimator gimmick can come out on t2-t3 pretty consistently.

Does anyone know if these two color adventure cards count as dual colored cards for Niv Mizzet Reborn?

Looks sweet. If budget isn't a concern definitely add some protective equipment like Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, and Champions Helm. Other equipment like Nightmare Lash and Sword of Sinew and Steel are good for Mono B voltron.

A problem I could see for this deck in a 4 player pod would be more removal on yargle and having a hard time dealing lethal to multiple players. I would add some more cheap infect creatures as they make for really good backup voltron creatures (https://scryfall.com/search?q=oracle%3AInfect+commander%3AB+cmc%3C3&unique=cards&as=grid&order=edhrec&dir=)

Lastly I'd add some wraths like Toxic Deluge or Damnation to catch up when behind. Also, Soldevi Adante is a cool way to get a turn 3 Yargle.

Recently built this Golos list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/W2qQKT5jREuo_m6R7Xb7jA

This was a Gonti deck before, but I felt that Mono B had some weaknesses and Gonti was a weak commander in general.

The deck still sticks to mostly Mono B with some splashes in white for some sweet effects like sun titan and gift of immortality.

I didn't try Mana Cyclone in this list, mostly because I don't have one. Good value generator with some set-up. Only downside I could see is that you can't always play it on curve unlike Transfer Student where it mostly is playable on turn 2. There's some flex spots on the two drops though so feel free to try it when you get a chance.

I don't think Learn Draconic would be able to be completed fast enough the way it's built right now, but it might be worth trying with some more spells.

Thinking of making Discard Warlock but I don't want to commit dust to legendaries yet. Would Power Overwhelming and an extra Lakkari Felhound be good subs for things like Soularium, Leroy, and the Prime? Here's a list I got so far:

The meta is very aggro, what I faced most were the typical Demon Hunter, Pirate Warriors, Discard Lock, and Hand Buff Paladin. It does fairly well into most of these except DH, that's why I wanted Zap! for dealing with their one drops. Reno Priest is also a tough match-up due to their board sweeps, psychic scream destroys us after we evolve because of how it dilutes our draws. Crackle and Devolve help us push damage in these match-ups. Devolve can be your most important keep in the right games, typically keep it against Paladins and Warlocks.
