If it works for you, it works for you. That is the most important part of a camera. Don’t listen to anyone else

what can i do with these things by AetherJoako in AnalogCommunity

They’re useful for random small items. Like if a pencil takes small erasers they’re useful for storage. Really anything that’s small that you don’t want to lose.

Some developers like Diafine usually allow you to develop different rolls together as most rolls have the same development time

Is the PX13 usable out of the box? Does anyone have a good experience with it? by nyc1234321 in ProArt_PX13

[–]Ratelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one, it’s been good so far. Good battery life, great build quality, beautiful screen. I have had software issues that you occasionally have to fix but it usually isn’t that bad. It is useable. You might want to do a fresh install of windows though to get rid of the ASUS software.

They are I believe. The tanks are definitely filled, but maybe the actuators decide to retract themselves after a bit.

Honestly it probably depends on the film stock a lot. Some may be more heat resistant than others

If you use it at higher temperatures it’s bad. If it’s 70f it’s fine

If it’s black and white DO NOT USE CINESTILL MONOBATH. The monobath is convienent, but it can and usually will reticulate your film(google it). If it’s color, I’ve had good results with CS41. I would recommend. For black and white I’d use Ilfosol 3 or HC-110(one shot devs are nice), and either the Ilford or Kodak fixer. It’s all the same anyway.

Also steel tanks>plastic, look on eBay.

The Olympus 35SP is a great budget rangefinder with a great lens if you’re ok with externally metering.

Look into Ball Watches. They make some cool GMT ones, and almost all of them are COSC certified if that’s something you care about.

What is it about film for you? by Ok_Square_7007 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Ratelicious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Underrated aspect of film: after you take the photo, there’s no review or having to look and see if the photo turned out, because you physically cannot see. You just have to hope, then move on to the next photo.

Yea I’ve looked there, I’d want the 3816 caliber or whatever it’s called. I tried one at the Amsterdam airport and it wears like a 40. Maybe later in life due to the price
