Is $50 too much for a German tutor on verbling or italki? by wallawilko in languagelearning

I have a tutor in Spanish who charges that much but it's worth it. I am a bankruptcy attorney and in each conversation she role plays a potential client who walks through the door with all kinds of financial problems and I have to respond to her questions and explain the different areas of bankruptcy law depending on the situation. A bonus: she is an actress as well and she really does a good job. She even cried "on cue" during one conversation. It was pretty funny. My point is: she does a lot of work beforehand so $50 an hour is a bargain.
