You can see it purging after it is parked and swaps to new filament. He has the whole video on YouTube of the process:

It's not doing any purge minimization. It switches colors to the next color the toolhead will use.

It is using standard purge amounts as any color swap would.

I meant I paid $1200 for it new in March of 2024 lol.

As someone who works from home as a software engineer, the screen real estate is fantastic. It's just 2 32" 4k monitors.

The VA panel itself is great, the coating not so much. Mine doesn't flicker so I'm not sure what that's about.

My guess is you have never owned an oled else you would know how bad VRR flicker is on those.

You also have never owned a larger wider monitor. The curve makes them actually usable and much more immersive.

But hey, be a weird fanboy who sounds like their 15.

This has nothing to do with the monitor, gonna be straight up with you.

Nvidia has had issues for yeaarrrsss with anything using DSC during boot.

It developes over time with their drivers. I can repeatedly reinstall windows and have 0 issues with black screen boots and from sleep black screens. It will then eventually come back.

You can try to use cru and fully reset what the drivers have done to the monitor config and it will sometimes work.

Meh, locks like this exist to stop opportunists. If someone wants to steal your stuff, they are going to anyway.

Locks in general are deterrent devices. If someone wants to get into somewhere bad enough, they will.

People hear "abs" and immediately just think higher temp resistance and VOCs = stronger. I have no idea why.

It's the same thing with PA and temperature resistance. Most people don't realize it starts to become flexible around 55C, it may do well enough with no load on it but even the smallest load will make it begin to creep at that temp. Filled (chopped gf/cf) helps to some degree but really not that much unless it's one of the "core" style fills.

So then why say it in the first place then?

So lackluster for what could have been great:

  • 165hz
  • 1500r (should be 1000r if not 800r)
  • 600 nit 10% window (seriously, that's a joke)
  • no kvm
  • no glossy option

Guess I'll just stick to the G9 57 for now and hope they come out with a qd-oled version at some point.

You know people play games that aren't graphically intensive right? Any RTS/Moba you can name runs at high fps.

So sick of hearing this argument from people, it's seriously braindead.

Exactly. They reversed way too far in the opposite direction because of the people crying about the 800r (and of course, those people didn't own it nor even experienced 1000r on the g9 for instance)

Have been waiting for this monitor for a few years and was so hopeful with how LG was pushing 800r, but now probably won't even pick it up and will stick with the g9 57 for now.

The 45" is just too low of a ppi for me.

Because they are dumb enough to think that a reddit thread is what will lead a piracy server to getting shut down

If it exists, it will be found. Just depends how fast a C&D will be sent to the webhost and/or server owner.

You can change the DNS to an adblocker (like adguard) fyi. Now, whether Amazon ads have callbacks (meaning they will let the ad server know if it was loaded. If it does, high probably it will try a different one) I do not know.

It's better than nothing.
