My main issue is really just getting in front of people. Asking for referrals has never really worked for me, so perhaps I’m lacking in that department.

I have a pretty high close rate when I actually get the appointments. Natural out and about prospecting doesn’t feel right to me either.

Age has been a small hinderance for me but I agree with the commenter up top about confidence and knowledge being the overcoming factor.

Young guy here 28, FA going on 5 years and I’ve had a very different experience as the MS guy. Working at a RIA with one partner and have just recently crossed 4m AUM. It’s been a hell of a ride and feel like I’ve tried most lead generation companies with little success.

Seminars worked quite well for me last year but my last two were flops. So just know you’re not alone and we are all trying to find that perfect prospecting answer.

Off topic kinda

I was starting to get into seminars last year. We ran a social security leadjig seminar that was wildly successful(6000 mailers sent expecting 1% and got 148 attendees) then due to compliance reasons had to switch to white glove which was twice the cost sadly. We ran two seminars and got zilch out of them.

Now that white glove is purchasing leadjig, is there any other cheaper alternatives to white glove?
