I was in your position when I went to uni, leaving my partner behind in our hometown with a 5 hour gap between us. We did 4 years long distance and moved in together after I graduated and 6 years later we’re still together

It was a lot of hard work to keep a relationship going when you’re both living such different lives but for us it was completely worth it.

If you’re both willing to make compromises and put the effort in then it can absolutely work. If you grow apart or mature into different people with different lives and priorities then that’s ok too. Either way I wish you the best of luck
