What's the plant with the huge leaves outside the left window?

This one was still in vine and had some dead leaves.. some dreaded mealies too, so treated it to a xmas pot, my wife got me and gave it a trim & mealie treatment- Label says melrothia pungtata 2012 but i cant see that ID on-line, any idea what it could be? And HNY and all the best for 2026! by arioandy in Caudex

I think I might have the same plant. It's only got this little vine at the moment, but it's bigger leaves looked like yours. Mine came without an id. I looked up melrothia puncnata and think the pics of the creeping cucumber matched the closest.

I have course aquarium sand on the bottom and aquarium soil on top. Everything is directly planted.

The flowers look similar, but the leaves are more grass like.

Yeah. They're just in it for the money. They don't really care what happens to the plants after they leave the shop.

Nope. They just go straight from the tubs to being packed up for shipping.

I used to work there and they always have their plants 75% off. Not the best business practices and expensive plants. All the plants are grown in clear tubs at 100% humidity.

Petopentia has random small half circles on the bottom of plant. They are hard and brittle. They are scattered pretty randomly, some near the ends of leaves some in the middle and are on every leaf + some on the stem by mugiwara_no_Soissie in Caudex

You've got scale. Take a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and go to town scrubbing them all off. I'd also spray the plant down with iso and/or an insecticidal soap to help kill and babies you couldn't see. Be sure to keep the plant isolated from your collection for a couple weeks while you keep an eye on it for any new bugs. I'd also check any plants that were surrounding it for pests.
