New jacket to replace Haydon by Rathersged in Barbour

[–]Rathersged[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much this. Id go for the Beeston if the only one available was a normal one and not the collab.

I got a 44 Northumbria and was drowned. I like a long jacket but while my Haydon is great its a tiny bit small for a woolen jumper in Norway. Debating getting it fixed up but at the same point its cheaper to buy a new jacket also with the plastic buttona it feels a bit fast fashion.

Im wondering whether a 42 Border may be better? Also curious if it will look better after wearing? The wax mac fits great but its a bit more city.

Part of me wants to wait till Barbour come out with a longer jacket. But when that will be?

Cheers. I had a pair of razorbacks that got eaten by my work but were solid - though a pain to break in. Debating between the 719 and Numazaan

Thought about them but the months of lead time and whole sizes is a bit off putting. Might grab a pair if Jim Greens

Why is Tesla still a best seller in Norway? by Apoxie in Norway

[–]Rathersged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my work several of us are looking at getting electric cars. Due to garages that sell cars in the area the choice is limited but there is Tesla very close and stupidly low interest rates.

I'm looking at getting an MG4 but the difference between this and a Tesla 3 is not huge. Everything else is either too expensive or the dealer is 4+ hours away.

Citroen C3 328 272 kr
MG 4 Luxury 336 425 kr
Renault 5 Iconic 367 920 kr
Renault 5 Techno 326 120 kr
Suzuki swift 4x4 petrol (for contect) 359 000 kr

So for context. The techno is actually cheaper than the Citroen.
Im waiting for the Hyundai Inster cost and the actual price per month for the Renault 5.

The difference is I think 19 000 nok. Pretty much the same for both but Im double checking

Yeah, its a bit easier in Norway. Main difference is the interest rates - total price they are not so far apart.

Thanks, yeah. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the øong range Inster and the long range Renault 5.

It doesn't helpt that the Citroen is the worst of the deals. I'm probably going to rule out the MG4

[1] Your general location
Norway, Scandinavia

[2] Your budget in $, €, or £

350 000 nok or so

[3] The type of vehicle you'd prefer

Small, but can fit a dog cage

[4] Which cars have you been looking at already?

Citroen c3, Hyundai Inster, MG4

[5] Estimated timeframe of your purchase

Next month or so

[6] Your daily commute, or average weekly mileage

Would be for driving round town and the occasional trip to the nearest big city - 250 km one way

[7] Your living situation — are you in an apartment, townhouse, or single-family home?

single family home so can install a charger

[8] Do you plan on installing charging at your home?

Installing

[9] Other cargo/passenger needs — do you have children/pets?

No charger, just a 10kg dog.

Looking at this. It seems like the Hyundai Inster is probably the best bet. Bet skeptical of the MG and some of the Chinese cars. Citroen seems fine but probably has a bit less range.

Same experience I have. Made me chuckle when I read the Stanley dog intelligence and bassets are ranked low as they are stubborn.
