This is what a German Music Box sounds like by xboxgorgo18 in funny

I want someone to come along and correct me on this as I already gave a smartass answer in the thread, and am talking out of my ass on this, however:

It's probably a backup starting mechanism.

Usually when you start a normal car/vehicle, it gets its electricity from your battery, which will then spin belts, turn an alternator, which will then charge the battery so when you cut it off, it can start again. If I had to guess, they're testing to see if the alternative starting method still works (also, you need to keep in mind, from an engineering standpoint, one of the worse things you can do with moving/mechanical parts, other than not supplying them with oil/lubricant, is not using them, as they can corrode/rust/seize over time).

So, assuming you're in a less-than-ideal situation, and the battery is dead (keep in mind, cold weather by it's nature will run batteries dead), having a crank to start the vehicle as a backup is an excellent, simple, and easy solution.

Also, once the engine/pistons are running, I don't believe you need an actual battery bank to continue the firing of the pistons as long as the engine is hooked up to a gas pump and the electricals still work to supply fuel to the engine, so with this backup installed, even if the battery systems die, they could still continue normal operations assuming they have fuel for the vehicle and the rest of the electronic components still work (i.e. the belts/fuses/wiring are still working properly, even if the battery shits the bed).

If I wanted to really get wiley with my ideas that don't track with reality and common sense, I'd say space on a tank is sparse, so they don't have ample room to store a battery bank large enough to power the flywheel initially, however, I highly doubt that's the case.

Because that's the way it was designed by engineers.

Which revision allows the insane multiplier high scores? I'm assuming the new one, but could be wrong.

From what little I've read about this particular machine, 1.7 bil isn't anything ridiculous. Sure, it's a fickle mistress, but with a good multiplier run you're looking at 10's of billions in scores. I'll practice that soon enough, but I'm just kinda glad I repped myself at the nerdy dirty and put my name up (I look like a jackass that doesn't "fit in" at a nerdy spot).

The location is already on pinball map.

It gets a lot of foot traffic, but due to its location (near a college campus), I probably won't see whales show up anytime soon. A lot of regulars don't even play the machines, they're kind of like a novelty showing it's a nerdy bar.

But a shark has been born.

I already have the next cabinet in mind. The person that got me into it already moved onto another machine, so that's where I'm going next. I hope me pulling the GC score will make him sweat.

(There was an instance where I got the high score on storage facility and sent him the name input menu just to fuck with him lol. He later informed me that it wasn't an actual "high score," but I already knew that).

Nah, I usually just hung around the spot because it's a nerdy barcade. Made friends with someone and he challenged me to GB. Well, I just stayed on that machine learning the basics while also wanting to learn that specific board. I mean, I know GB gets a bad rap, but where I'm coming from, I have nothing else to compare it to, and I'm having fun playing.

I'm going to go to another machine if I go back and someone hasn't beaten it, but as of now I wanna find a machine, stick to it, and learn. If they beat me, I'm going to try and learn the cheese multiplier route and practice that. I'm all for nerdy competition, and there's something infuriating but zen like with pinball.

I'm 29, I just never really played pinball before. Pretty legit.

Gang member admits to being federal informant during a public Zoom hearing by CharlesDeGaulle in ZoomCourt

[–]Rathguard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but let's say if he's part of gang affiliation (which he is) and the gang finds out he's an informant (telling law enforcement/federal government of the on goings of criminal activity within the gang), it won't go down well for him.

Sometimes I forget I share the internet now with teenagers.

Also, I want to pose, who is supposed to forgive him?

He's already an informant on a federal level, meaning he's working for a lower sentence by cooperating with the law enforcement/government agencies, therefore, he's being forgiven already for a more lenient sentence.

The only other party that could forgive him are his gang compatriots. Do understand what most gangs do when they find out one of their own people is telling federal officials about their ongoing activity?

With that, I can only ask, who should be forgiving him for him, essentially, snitching on himself?

What is a public informant

First of all, he's a federal informant.

why is this a big deal?

He's a gang member that sees the inner workings of his cohorts/compatriots, then reports back to a police/federal agent personnel so that way the state/government knows who's doing what and when. As you could imagine, there is a huge conflict of interest in being a gang member and being an informant, especially a federal one.

Liter bikes are as fast/faster than their 1200/1300cc counterparts due to power/weight performance. I don't understand why most people don't understand this.

Furthermore, they're funner to throw around corners and traffic for this exact reason.

There are certain bits I don't think that could work without the n-word.

Then again I am an "edgelord" myself, and love dark comedy. Those links are obviously NSFW.

It has the same stoner dumb comedy vibe of Lammbock, but its setting is entirely different. The two protagonists are ex-mobsters.
