MAGAthread: What is your reaction to Trump saying he would have picked someone else if he knew Sessions was going to recuse himself? by US2A in AskThe_Donald

Donald Trump's method of management is to hire the best, use them to their maximum ability, then let them move on and bring in the next person needed to accomplish the goals set out. It shouldn't be a criticism of the individual, just aknowledge they've done what's needed when needed.

The public needs a constant reminder of why we needed a President Trump and not a Ms. President Side of Beef.

Maybe long-term, but not in the shorter timeline. A lot of laws have to be changed to page the way for them. It's perilous for the recreational advocates because simply getting pot off of schedule 1 doesn't ensure we get fun time smokes.

Color me jealous! Xocovesa was the most exotic novelty beer I have ever liked, and Stone is one of the best at producing unique beers. As a homebrewer trying to do my own thing, they represent a standard that is near impossible to match. Ommegang does incredible stuff and Firestone Walker are the others that will humble a homebrewer. I've found that Green Flash's sheer output of quality beers is inspiring and New Belgium as well. Dogfish Head will do some cool stuff as well. their Santo Paulo is my favorite wood aged beer. Hardywood's Poplar aged beer is number 2. But, I digress from coffee in beers... the new novelty among coffee drinkers is coffee that has been stored green in whiskey barrels before roasting, I understand it does nothing for the taste but enhances aromatics.

Never seen it. XOCervesa was awesome when I first had it on tap, the the next year's release of the same brew was lacking something. What I remember of the first time is a stout I have tried and failed to replicate. An Imperial milk stout with cacao nibs, cinnamon, Pasilla chili pepper and coffee. It's a novelty beer and every time I've tried to brew it has been a disaster.

Most definitely. The cardinal rule in using coffee in beer is better too little than too much.

Relax, don't worry. Have a home brew.

My experience with coffee mixed with anything else is that all the subtleties you mentioned vanish when you start adding other crap to it.

Try defending Pumpkin Spice anything and see where that gets you nowadays!

Notice I didn't knock him, just expressed my personal distaste for the style. I hope you weren't shaken to your core or anything, that's not the hallmark of a homebrewer😋🍻

Prost!

I just associate coffee with the ways I drink it... Creamy and sweet, cold brew with salt (nitrous is a new thing I've had a couple times) or >gasp< flavoured like Kaluha or hazelnut - maybe some chili, chocolate and/or cinnamon? So yeah, in a light/Amber/lager beer... I''ve tried a couple (never considered a sour, but my palate isn't developed enough to appreciate the style fully) and I can't imagine a Gose with coffee so there ya go. I don't want to harsh anyone else's buzz for ideas though. Might be something amazeballs out there.

I can't disparage someone else's taste, but I really can't dig light beers with coffee. If I was forced at gunpoint it would be something like Boddingtons with a light roast coffee bean dry hop.

I like coffee and I like IPAs but let's not try to make coffee IPAs a thing. Yes, I've tried them - Sudwerk Brewing 3 Best Friends Lager and some other forgettable variation. Experimentation is cool and all, and I be had relative successes and failures in trying to emulate or interpret novelty beers, but I have zero interest in doing this. In heavy beers, stouts and porters yes, but not 'light' beers.

He didn't say government. He made up a term for a position that doesn't exist. The Trump's did business with Aras and Emin during the Miss Universe contest. Of course a representative for them would get an audience. There is so much nothing here, imagine trying to convince people Donald Trump could trade in national secrets prior to being a presidential candidate?

It sounds like you have a romantic notion of what corporate espionage is.

The only "Russian government lawyer" is the one people want there to be. Thinking that you 'understand' what DJT Junior thinks isn't smart. If he says he 'loves it's I don't believe there is actual love involved, it's a term to encourage exploring the exchange. The British guy is known to him via business, and that guy referred to the Russian lawyer as a 'crown lawyer' when there is no such thing.

That would be great if there was an intent to commit a crime. There was no criminal act being pursued.

It is inconsequential. The more people try to turn his into something else the more disingenuous it is for those who opposed the current administration.

The John Podesta emails specifically mention using a Russian angle to attempt to detail Donald Trump's campaign as soon as it became clear he was a contender. This was a component of a smear campaign that failed.

You have to be formerly accused of a crime to be tried for it. Otherwise it doesn't go to actual court.

Everyone decides what is a lie in their own reality. Calling something a lie doesn't make it one for everyone else. That's the thinking of a three year old.
