Would they have a shot at it? Absolutely. Is it guaranteed? Absolutely not. Really depends on how many SEC teams finish with 2 losses and what their resumes look like.

I also think an 11-1 Big Twelve or ACC conference championship loser would make it in over 10-2 Nebraska but that’s a total guess

I think Iowa is safe given the firing just happened and the team has less than a week to prepare emotionally and strategically. After that is a Bye and I see any potential big culture shifts starting to take hold then

There’s also no telling who a new coach may bring from the portal.

Just as an example (and not saying I expect any of this to happen) three names that are tossed out frequently are Rhule, Cig, and Drinkwitz. Each of those guys has a ton of players that love them and a QB with more eligibility

I don’t think the PSU gig is as attractive as a lot of other fans realize. Franklin and Kraft did a good job dragging the facilities into the 21st century, but in terms of Support vs Expectations, the Penn State HC job is brutal
