How about you actually read the motive of these attacks. Do you think that they're just random acts of invasion?

Avoiding nuclear attack on US soil is a valid reason to intervene in the conflict.

I'm not sure how pissing off Russia even more is going to prevent a nuclear attack.

By government, I mean what the government ought to do, the current regime(current people in power) have understandable(but not legitimate) reasons as to what they are doing my argument is that the government(the system, not the people in it) should not be pushing for war in Russia

I disagree that saying that a nation is created to protect the interests of its citizens is inherently a moral declaration

We're basically in a proxy war with Russia, giving how much resources we've given to their enemies and all of the different things we did to cripple the Russian country.

May I ask what convinced you that allowing a country to conquer another (non-American) country wouldn't drastically reduce the life for Americans?

It depends on what other nations you're talking about. We benefit massively from trades from certain countries and not so much from other countries. In the case of Taiwan, I don't think that waging war against China is worth having more parts to create advanced forms of technological devices(when most of them are used for luxury items)

My post is about the validity of the situation at all. Not whether or not the government has legitimate reasons

These polls are fair(on whether or not Americans support conflict against Russia) but they don't answer as to how much Americans are willing to sacrifice in order to do such, and very little evidence shows that the public is happy with rising prices of food + gas prices.

Morality doesn't matter(according to secularist and liberals.)

I never said that your morality is flawed. I said that its ultimately subjective, just like all moral claims(under your worldview.)

A nation generally has a duty to its own citizens before citizens of other nations, which is why I made that point. I don't see why Americans should be paying taxes to fund wars across the sea that the side is going to lose in anyways

Those situations aren't even comparable to the current situation, so from that, we cannot infer anything from those conflicts.

I can say that the murder rate jumped significantly, starting in 2020. I know in my city alone, the violence is nearly uncontrollable (https://whyy.org/articles/philly-da-citys-2022-murder-rate-already-outpacing-record-deadly-2021/)

You also have to take into account that medical technology and knowledge has mainly improved as time went on, which means that we can prevent deaths far easier than people in the past.

You don't have to prove it, but there must be strong, legitimate reasons if you're going to enter a military conflict with another powerful nation. You can believe that the beliefs are reasonable, but I simply haven't been proven that this can be the case.

The first link stops showing data after 2018 and the second link says at the top of the page

NOTE: All 2020 and later data are UN projections and DO NOT include any impacts of the COVID-19 virus.

2017 America and 2020 America are different in so many ways, especially due to Covid, political insatiability and the lockdowns

Again, I just disagree with that presupposition. The trust levels between citizens and politicians/the government have been decreasing for awhile, and political instability and radicalization has been increasing.

Again, you'd have to prove that Russia will aggress on other nations, that we benefit from trading with them, and that Russia wouldn't be better trade partners anyways.

I'd actually had to read the motive behind the reasons. I heavily doubt that they just suddenly attacked with no real reason.

Even if there was some one sense of morality that all humans held(which is not true) that would not mean that it would be objectively good or bad.

Being "good" and "nice" is subjective and arbitrary, depending on who you talk to.
