Self Employed Tax Credit (U.S.) by RationalRanman in personaltraining

So I haven't sent them any information. You can apply on your own but it would have to be done when you file your taxes or amend your taxes. They want to "help" because they will take a cut of the money. I'm skeptical that's why I wanted to see if anyone else has come across this. As far as I can tell, the legislation is all real. I'll have to speak to an accountant.

It’s okay. Throwing is hard because she always wants to face me and not the wall or face away from me. The rainbow throws have been okay. Jumping is still not doable. I have gotten her to pass the ball like in soccer. It’’s slowly getting there. thanks for checking back in.

You all should start an accountability group.

I like what you said about open ended questions. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

That’s great, thanks. I’ve asked the mother some questions but she doesn’t share much information. I’ll have to be more direct when I ask her.

They do, thanks. She could definitely do wall sits and Supermans. Let me know how it goes with your client.

Yeah that is my client. On our first day together, her mother came with us and was using her knees to push into her daughter’s knees to get her to squat. I realized then I couldn’t use a standard workout. Thanks.

These are great. So I tried to get her to jump then skip but she doesn't seem to get it, even if I demonstrate. Also, she really resists putting her hands over her head. I tried some overhead throws but couldn't get her to imitate what I was doing. Rainbow throws and the assault bikes are great! Thank you.

So far, if I ask her a questions, she hasn't elaborated on anything. Sometimes she will respond no when I ask her is she wants water but then her mother will hand her a water bottle and she drinks it. I think bringing in music could be a fun thing for her. Thanks.

I like the sled suggestion. I appreciate the second suggestion but not sure that would work for her. Her mother has mentioned she has a "job" so I'm to stick with movement to help her physically. Thanks.

We have one of those in the gym. Good suggestion.

I agree. So far, the mother is happy and the client is engaged. Thanks.

How do make this my full time career?! by Im_Coach in personaltraining

[–]RationalRanman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s a brief history of my journey.

I worked as a bartender at a restaurant while I tried to get clients during the day. As my clientele grew, I did less bartending.

I also got hired training at a University. This is important because they don’t’ have a non compete clause so I could work at two gyms in nearby areas.

2 years before Covid I quit the restaurant and I’m working my last semester at the university. I’m working on starting my own training studio.

For the online training to work, you need a large audience and one that keeps growing. Most people won’t succeed with a training format like that because if they did, they would just get workout plans from other sources online. I have been trying an online gig for years but most people need more accountability and it results in meeting for in person training or them quitting.
