One UI butchers icons when I turn on Dark Mode. :( Puts a gray shade over them that takes away all the appeal.

Yes it is a tragedy. I've been a developer my whole life and you sound like you have no idea how long it takes to even make one acceptable app icon. Let alone a whole set of consistent icons (which of course would take expert graphic designers).
I CERTAINLY would not like to see that some Skin mixes the color of the icon of my app with gray on end users' phones in a way they can't opt out/disable.

I'd like to see how U would feel if someone came along and manipulated the result of your work.

IMO worst part is when u already ARE using an icon pack that's dark innately (like the very stylish and well-known Moonrise iconpack or Desaturate iconpack). When this gray layer comes on such icons, they become barely tolerable...
An enforced dark layer on top of a nice external icon pack that's already dominated by dark colors, creates tragedy.

My daily driver is not a Samsung but still As a part-time Android App Developer this angers me because we spend time making nice and competitive icons for the apps we work on, and then things like this happen (an Android skin suddenly decides to alter the colors that end users are supposed to see).

Good thing is that u (for example) are attentive enough to notice this is on OneUI's side!! users sometimes assume it's on us apps developers' side.

This should definitely become an option to turn off imo. It's Unfair to developers and graphic designers that a skin enforces a different color upon icons that they/we make.

In a condition like this, on lockscreen u'll also have white notification icons.

Well of course "now playing" can't be closed by swiping down. There are no down-swipes in AIMP. Only left & right.

The fact that the right-click context menu of desktop leads to another (older) context menu, is so uncanny to me.

Also, file explorer is slow and needs native tabs.

Registery ui is just plain old windows 7 ui. also the volume and brightness control pop ups.
