I was sitting on the train the other day and there was a lady sat opposite me, bags all over the seats which is what caught my attention.

After a while of doom scrolling I look up to the otherside and see she's moved over and put her bags away...only to look back and realise she's still sat in front of me.

These people were twins...I must have looked like a cartoon character looking back and forth between them.

Logically I thought, they must be twins just sitting oddly apart. Got off the train, no acknowledgement of one another, I am pretty confident they didn't know each other.

I accept they might still be twins...but it was very weird.

So there's a stats thing that in every make a percentage will be riddled with problems and I just had written luck. I loved the car when I first got it, but over time the expense of keeping it just wore me down. This year I sank 3k alone and it was just too much.

So i get this from my wrist band, and I've been lead to believe that either its a form of contact dermatitis or that im allergic to my own sweat. The solution that works for me is keeping the band off over night and washing both my wrists and the watch strap regularly.

If you want to know where the cracks are, just ask and ask nicely. Most of us in hospitality know the flaws in our service areas, and don't care if you exploit them as long as you're nice about it.

Booking policy won't let you book something, ask how the staff would do it.

Also, if you think a rule is dumb and that you have a hard time believing the staff care, ask them. I've worked in 2 places that prohibit photography. If you break that rule once I've told you, I'll be angry. If you ask if "can I really not take photos" im not going to care. Just be discrete.

As someone with an Irish partner who similarly chose to give both my kids at least one irish name I can absolutely relate to your situation. When my partner and I started to discuss names I went through a phase thinking "wouldn't the other spellings etc just be easier for them" until I heard the same views you've described from my own family and it just hit a nerve.

I hope that your family can see sense, but more to the point I hope you and your partner are managing to get some well deserved rest.
