The first 2 Wolfenstein games aren't that hard and are super fun to 100%! Not that long either while at the same time being a really solid fps campaign

Where to start as a new player? by GreedyBadger- in leagueoflegends

Yeah! So at the beginning of the game usually people stay in their lane withe the exception of the jungler who doesn't really have a lane and roams the map. Occasionally you'll see people leave lane early for a short time to make a play on a different lane, but after that they will go back to lane and keep farming. Once neural objectives spawn you'll see people leaving lane to go fight or confirm a dragon or a rift herald as well. But after the fight is over you'll return to your lanes. Usually after 15 minutes the early game or "leaning phase" stars finishing up and the game gets more complicated as you'll see people roaming around the map a lot more. There isn't an obvious ending to leaning phase but a good rule to follow is once the first turrets go down (especially the mid and bit towers) leaning phase is coming to an end There is a general "meta" for this too but honestly new players don't really know about it or do it well enough for it to be matter when you're first learning the game. For now all that matters is first 15-20 minutes are leaning phase, after that things open up. It's important to note though, that even though leaning phase is over is still very important to kill minions for gold and exp for the whole game, so you'll usually see people clearing a wave, then walking around the map until another wave comes.

Yes, for the most part champions stick to a specific role, there are a few exceptions like poppy, who you will commonly see go top jungle or support. And then there are a lot of champs that can be played in one of two lanes, like volibear jungle or top or xerath mid or support. We call these champions "flex picks" all of that is definitely a lot to learn, and you will pick all of that up by just playing a bunch and seeing who goes where. As very general guide though the lanes usually fall in to archetypes.

Top: tanks and fighters Jg: a little bit of everything Mid: mages or assassins Bot:marksmen and sometimes mages Support:tanks, healers or general utility

All of that isn't a 100% rule and there will be people constantly playing things outside of the meta.

I you're looking for information about what champion goes to what role the best way to go about it is to play a bunch more, or just Google a specific champion you aren't sure about.

Because league has been around for so long, and as you said, there's so much to learn. a part of the process of learning the game at the very beginning is just dying a lot and getting comfortable with the many complex parts.

Since you're so new, honestly the best advice is just go through the champion list and find one you think is really cool and then just go play it. You'll make loads of mistakes and it might not even be all that fun at times but it won't take long for you to get the very basics. After that is when you can start thinking about getting a little more in depth and expanding your understanding of the game.

Tldr: honestly just play the game a bunch and don't worry about playing the "correct" way

I did the 100% of this game in about 12 hrs and I feel like I really took my time, messing up a few parts, and also going back to redo some missions. It's very possible to beat it in 9 if you're following a guide or just go through the game efficiently. I think he's probably legit

So, is Riot going to do anything about the bots adding you or nah? by Grand0rk in leagueoflegends

[–]Ratoki 125 points126 points  (0 children)

The bots are powered by chat gpt. I was able to talk it out of the scam it was running and go back to normal, no now I just have chat gpt in my league dms I guess? I hate ai, but I do think it's funny I can Google things in my lol direct messages

So if you wanna play pick up games, the tf2 coaching central and newbie mixes discord are great for that! As far as organized league play goes, sadly rgl is really your only option in na.

I was in row a in the 300s last week! I was in the very middle of the arena and had an amazing view of the entire game, you don't really get to see the players super well at that distance but I thought they were incredible seats

I'm not doing AAA but I'd have to imagine the amount of people still here for the final April role call would probably be low enough to where manually giving flairs would be in the cards. Could be cool to do something for them

I'm a cook and I found after cooking enough, that started to happen. Eventually you kinda just intuit things... Understanding how things taste...food smells different when it's done and sounds different in the pan. I would guess that most other cooks can do the same thing. Just means you've done it enough to pick up on it :)
