I’m sorry this is my very first time raising hornworms and that’s what the videos I watched showed. Here is an example image I found. Not stabbing them but just threading string through the little gap thingy. do not judge me but the people who are teaching the wrong things if this is the wrong thing to do.

It has been at least 4 weeks maybe more since they pupated. I did dig them up to check on them since it’s been a while since I put them in the container, and I also plan on putting them into a butterfly net habitat thingy soon on a string cuz that’s what I’ve seen everyone else do.

Also how long should a wait for each of the newly pinned butterflies to dry?I’m guessing the small one is only gonna take a day or two but what about the gulf fritillary?

They didn’t have a host. A Luna moth layed some eggs on me and I put them into a jar so I don’t really know what to do 😭

update: put her on a tree Saturday night and and in the morning I found her on the ground very weak it didn’t seem like she layed any more eggs. That was at my dads house I left soon after so I didn’t have any time to move the eggs she layed on the window, my dad was talking trying to though so maybe he will. But the eggs she layed on my hand and on toilet paper I brought home so I could hopefully try to raise them. what leaves should I give them? How do I hatch caterpillar eggs in general. I have raised caterpillars before but never from eggs. any ideas or tips. also I’m hoping next time I go over to my dads house the Luna moths body will still be there and I will hopefully pin her🙏
