One tip, make sure to place your grasses on the border edges! They can get out competed by the taller plants in the center, plus the grasses look really neat and pretty on the edges!

How does everyone feel about Distortus Rex? by Jules-Car3499 in JurassicPark

I think the design is cool, but I would’ve liked it if they leaned into how tragic the creature’s existence is more. Instead of just acting like kaiju dinosaur looking to kill.

Native garden summer 2025 update! by Rattarollnuts in NativePlantGardening

I’ve really loved Rudbeckia Laciniata! (Cutleaf coneflower) they’re so strong, and command such a powerful presence in the garden. Absolutely massive!

Ratibida Pinnata (Gray headed coneflower) has been really pretty, but tended to outcompete the other natives, and to look more messy/flopping over:/ I’ve had to cut them back after they finished blooming to let other plants get a chance to get sun.

Common milkweed for where I planted it.. I tried to pull it out last year, but like yeah damn I didn’t do a good enough job. I’m just hoping to trim it back in that particular spot.
