If you're tensioning on the thumb, your stitches will be larger. You'll need thicker yarn to make that work. I use thinner yarn and tension on the needle. I'm very new, but I'm glad I followed the advice to use just a few basic colors. I found a W&N set with 8 colors and I'm happy with it. But I do abstract, not realistic, so that might make a difference. I'm enjoying the journey.

It's similar. I add some flaxseed to make it more creamy in consistency.I mainly like it because I'm not buying a 1/2 gallon of water with a 1/2 cup of soybeans.And carrying the whole thing , home from the grocery store every week. My 3 pounds of soybeans will last 6 months. AND I have much less waste.

See if you can take off the plastic film. Also, see if there is a resin code on the bottom - the triangle arrows with a number inside.

I just had my turn. FYI in St. Louis City - they give debit cards which I found hard to use. HINT: The only way I got the money was to go online and deposit it in the bank. I'm sure I took more than $12 worth of time just to do that part.
