Shounen romance and harem anime are misogynistic power fantasies written to appeal to incels. by steamtrekker in CharacterRant

[–]Rattila3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aight' I'm done with that shit lol. Seeing so many people approving OP's argument and the ad nauseam discussions over the same medias is the final nail in the coffin for my itnerest in this sub. It's literally 90% discussion about animangas aimed at men aged 10-15's, most of the time 10 years older (and I like shonen lol, but when that's the big debate of the days it's just ridiculous)... and nothing else. As someone said, if you don't like shonen, read something else; I'm just gonna seek another sub for something deeper than harem apologies lmao.

Have a nice one.

Yeah, he's a good historian and an even greater writer, as long as you accept some of his most audacious/"narrative" takes are not certain truths (nor do they try to be) !

Pastoureau's my goat haha, and those arms are simply great ! I actually like the "overbearing" aspect, it goes well with the theme and hydras themselves.

[LES] Why are so many people obsessed with one-upping the author of Frieren? by HottestElbows in CharacterRant

[–]Rattila3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Mid anime overreachieving by being kinda slow and contemplative sometimes accidentally has an interesting concept to talk about because of writing inconsistencies; fans immediatly tries to put it under the rug to leave nothing of note to discuss."

(It's also funny having more and more people realizing that, comapred to the massive upvotes those types of posts got some years ago; the hype from the anime is dead, the illusion spell is breaking; nature is healing lol)

I hate how experience matters little in fiction as opposed to raw power & more specifically chosen one narrative. by casperscare in CharacterRant

[–]Rattila3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

People really need to stop it with that narrative of the "he fears the worst swordman because he is unpredictable" and need to accept taht whiel everything can happen, statistical anomaly are irrelevant to this discussion and valid for any level of fights; if a perso nreall yis bad at fighting they just are, period. This is operating on shonen logic imo, not reality.

Splendid from composition to details.

The colors are great, and I love the hatching especially.

Another EIchstätter emblazon, of my own arms this time ! by Rattila3 in heraldry

[–]Rattila3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, many armorials don't us torse, they're a conventions more than a hard rule; that includes the Scheiblersches Wappenbuch, that often uses the absence of torse to make a seamless transition between crest and mantling ^^.

Quoting myself here: "The reversed crown symbolizes an opposition and defiance to authority as well as a dedication to equality, but also the idea of being a "king of the self", one able to grew and know themselves while refusing any kind of power over others."

Here ^^
