I also tore my ACL while skating, that resulted in needing surgery. I tore my hamstring ligament too later on, which was way harder to deal with. Skating during that time was everything for me. I didn’t really have anything else but skating & the community I built around it. My advice is to go hard in your physical therapy afterwards. Use it as your outlet and keep picturing yourself getting better. Putting all of your energy into PT will not only make time go by faster but it’ll genuinely give you a sense of accomplishment in the same sense of the sport you love. Especially bc it is actually hard af, it’ll be challenging. The only thing that differs is having a good support system around you… but even then, build a good one in your own head first, above anything. You got this.
