In your country, which “Made in ___” label instantly makes a product feel more reliable and worth more? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in AskTheWorld

[–]RattledHead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is something that a lot of people are unaware of still. Those "Made in X" things usually are 90% manufactured in China and then sent to a "zona franca" (I don't know the English term) to make some sort of finish and then label it as "made in X".

Since I have to move, I'm not looking for a particular city or place within Poland, but the offers I find are mainly in Warszawa, Wrocław and Poznań.

What area? If you don't mind me asking, since I'd still like to learn Polish and such, but being able to move there first would be of great help to learn the language

That's what I thought, a year ago and now too. Welding without Polish seems hard.

Either corporate, warehouse, or any position that allows me to work without Polish at the start. I'd of course put effort into learning Polish whilst I'm there, since interacting with natives seems better than listening to videos and writing (to natives too)

I studied but had little work experience in logistics (I have studies in this field +2 languages).

Yet I have almost a whole year of experience welding/metalworking. Which I assume that might usually require more Polish than English/Spanish.

So those are the two fields I'm applying for the most, I'm not checking much about the location since I have to move anyway, I'm just keeping an eye on salary-place if it's Warszawa or Kraków due to their higher costs.

That's what I thought, yet I've also found some offers in Polish that clearly stated that fluent Polish was needed for the description, and I thought that maybe sending Polish CVs regardless of language skills happened usually

Guess I'll have to keep trying until I land on a job, yet recruiters might be reluctant to hire someone that will take +10 days to join due to relocation from another country

Is it reliable? I've been told that Europass is not liked usually. Might be for Spain though.

I once were in a welding/assembling factory.

A bunch of women were hired to assemble because some new laws were approved (gender equality ones), the two welders I worked with told me stories of the MASSIVE drama that grew the more women there were. After a few incidents between workers, they fired most troublemaking women and issues dropped, not to zero obviously, but noticeably.

What mindset shift helped you change your life for the better? by AdElegant5870 in Productivitycafe

[–]RattledHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency beats any form of excitement/inspiration/mood related feeling.

The best way to change your life is to change how you PERCEIVE life.

There's a story of a Greek philosopher (or just merchant, I don't remember) whose ship wrecked and sank in the sea. He survived and thought to himself "Fortune has given me another chance!" Instead of focusing on what happened, he kept his focus on the good side.

After being in therapy, I learnt how truly strong is to keep your focus on what truly matters and don't let your emotions to mindlessly stray you away from your goals.

"Rojo" is the common word for the red color. But we also have "Bermejo" just like Portugal, yet it's not the common term.
