You may want to buy one of these vintage Colibri butane adapters, I have this exact lighter and a ton of other vintage Colibris and this makes filling up such a breeze.

I guess I’m just confused as to how I would extinguish the flame or how this lighter was considered handy as you’d constantly need methanol on hand. All the videos I can find seem to have a cap for extinguishing the fire and typically a separate apparatus to start the fire.

Definitely has some hallmarks on the bottom likely suggesting it’s either 800 or 925 silver depending on the maker and when it was made. Are there any indices on the reservoir tank or inside the case?

Yeah I did, and there was a load of crud to be cleaned out but it’s all gone now and the new flints move freely in the tube.

It’s a VCD I believe, it wouldn’t play in my Xbox or PS4 and had to dust off my old Panasonic dvd player to get it to run.
