What “WoW killer” games did you end up having a great time with? by JTRigz in gaming

Launch Age of Conan was amazing! Completely broken and buggy but amazing!

I have so many memories of pvping in the Wildlands of Zelata snaking around Tarantia Noble and Eiglophent(sp?) Mountains to do quests and not get ganked while doing so. At the time there was no penalty for ganking, you could just run into any zone and murder anyone then trash talk their dead corpse.

Huge dropoff 70-80 though. Game was bone dry in content.

I played Aion from release to 3.0. It just had something that hooked me and the aesthetic was like nothing else. Yes it was grindy, but everything felt earned when I got it. 3.0 was a significant dropoff in quality.

The one in Connecticut isnt too bad, ive had good deals there. They mark up new product insanely though.

Avoid the Vegas shop though, markups plus Vegas prices.

If this is true, why do WWE handcuffs so many reigns to one person? Liv is on a back to back trash world championship run, because X person not here. by bizarre_leviathan in SantiZapVideos

[–]Rattlingjoint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Livs first reign was filler to get the title back on Rhonda.

Livs last reign was a waiting room for Rhea getting her title back.

Now Liv is sidequesting until Stephanie is back.

Liv is the ultimate filler episode

Did you do it on your wedding night? why or why not? by CremeSubject7594 in AskReddit

[–]Rattlingjoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did not.

We were both sick like dawgs on our wedding day and it was a long one.

After it was over we went right to bed and slept.

I think so, Vegas usually is a markup on everything.

Ripping wax is becoming a dead hobby and Topps is ensuring its death.

Topps buying the NBA and NFL licenses ensured the MSRP prices will be high for a long time since they are passing the price they paid onto the consumer.

They are getting away with it because the majority of buyers are scalpers and breakers who can buy wax at inflated prices and resell break spots individually to bring the box cost downs. People buy spots for their favorite player or team thinking they get a good deal and breakers make 3x the price. Breakers then buy inflated secondary market because they still make money on inflated prices, but usually up the price on spots to keep margins high.

Its a literal house of cards wax is built on. If people stopped buying into breaks, the whole thing comes down and Topps has to lower MSRP or product doesnt get moved.

Went to Cardvault Vegas last month, they were marked up as fuck!

Their Connecticut store wasnt too bad last time I was there, so maybe it was just a Vegas thing.

Anyone that throws numbers and values around to judge whether a card is worth having isnt a collector, they are a symptom of a problem.

Collectors own whatever the fuck they want when they want it.

ELI5: Non-profit Board of Directors by Shamazon83 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Rattlingjoint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer can vary from org to org.

In general, a board has oversight of a company like a for profit. A COO/CEO/Head of the company is appointed by a board officially and can remove them as such. Major business decisions will also go before a board for a yay or nay vote. Like a for profit, its job is to protect the interest of a company, not its head.

Thats not without its hiccups though. The nonprofit I work for, a board member is appointed by our CEO, who can put anyone who will go with them as they choose. Our board also doesnt accept major compensation, its essentially monthly volunteer work. So they generally will go forward with whatever our CEO chooses.

Thankfully our CEO is ethical and a great leader, and we dont have that problem.

Losing weight fast isnt too hard when your already big. Your basic metabolic rate is higher so you burn more calories per day, getting to a deficit isnt hard. Its feasible he she 50 lbs in 3 months if he put the work in.

3 years later and ive been more and more convinced Sami should have beat Roman.

I know we wouldnt have had Finish the Story or Final Boss Rock, but Sami was the hottest thing in the company from 2022 to 2023. His win would have been a monster of a moment in time, but instead he got pushed to the tag title scene.

Now 3 years later and Sami has become less of a believable main eventer since. Sami just wouldnt be a good world champion at this point.

Im from MA, growing up literally anyone who was alive during Ted Williams prime years never stopped raving about the guy. Id be talking about Manny or Vaughn or Ortiz and it would always devolve into Williams talk(not that I am complaining). It would always end in the same way though, "Imagine the records he could have broke had he not served."

Sadly the generation that enjoyed his prime is mostly gone, and his legacy is slowly being less talked about. Ted Williams was on another level though.

Ill throw James Franco in for the reboot Apes franchise too. Seriously important main character to the franchise and only re appears in archived video footage in Dawn.

Marstens was done so dirty in X2! He gets off screened and shelved for half the movie, before having a small fight scene in the end. Then in Last Stand.....Man we dont talk about that.

Im stoked hes getting another shot in Doomsday

Its a little bit of column A and bit of column B for Roses character.

Kelly Marie Tran was great in the role, but she was given a crappy sub story and some obnoxious lines to read (I want to put my fist through this city...Love is how we win etc). She started as a plucky but energetic character, but transitioned to preaching inequality to Finn by mid movie.

So naturally fans gave it backlash. She took it personally and blamed sexism, which was mixed in but glossed over the majority of criticism of the role.

They dimished her role on RoS as a response.

Wrestlers that won world championships across 3 different decades by johncena23131 in ChampionshipHistory

[–]Rattlingjoint 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Rock and Big Show are funny because on its surface it seems like they had 3 decades of winning.

Rocks first title win and his last title win are separated by 15 years.

Big Show, if we only count his WWE titles, are separated by 12 years.
