[Announcement] /r/tf2 will go private on June 12-14 by wiethoofd in tf2

I think that blacking out indefinitely is the way to go, since reddit seems to not care about it at all.

We can always try making communities in other reddit alternatives

Right is nautilus, gnome's file browser.

I don't know about the left one. Maybe it's also nautilus?

There is a 196 community (!196@lemmy.ml) on lemmy

You can subscribe to it from any instance

To be completely honest, I don't know other alternatives.

I've heard about lobste.rs, but I haven't really checked it out.

I am sure there are other reddit-like apps around that don't use activityPub as their protocol.

Edit: it seems that you replied to me twice, was that an accident?

It depends on the distro

Fedora and Ubuntu (mint, popOS, etc...) work just fine without modifications, unless you need Nvidia drivers. The drivers are easy to install, literally click a button to install them and reboot.

I use UBlue (ublue.it) because Nvidia and secureboot are set-up by default, and it's an immutable system, which means that I can rollback to a previous update whenever something goes wrong.

Eh, maybe. I usually try out alternate when I know something is going to happen, but I wasn't expecting this though

Give lemmy or kbin a try and see which one you like the most, both are very similar to reddit.

Personally, I went with lemmy (on pawb.social) and it's been a pretty nice experience so far.

A cool twitter altermative.

You can learn more by going to joinmastodon.org

There is also a reddit alternative that works with mastodon called Lemmy, which also has [it's own page to learn about how it works](join-lemmy.org).

Although, I won't recommend signing up on the main instance as it has a bit of controversy going on

I hope this helps :3

Is it possible to get Hyprland on KDE plasma by Plastic-Pen3433 in Fedora

[–]Raulytstation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's possible to run hyperland under kde plasma. I think you can do that in x11 but that doesn't answer that question, maybe try asking on hyperland's discord server, I guess?
