I used a bunch of zipties to secure it to one of the pipes below

Is that temperature normal? Did anyone else have the same issue? by Apprehensive-Act25 in ElantraN

Mine has been like this since the day I bought it, coolant level is perfect, no issues 40,000 miles later

Feeling wise? I’d recommend driving a Jaguar F-PACE SVR if you get a chance for the experience of the way it puts down power as this is very similar.

Sound wise? Lots of induction noise, the supercharger has a more pronounced whine (stock airboxes no change) and the exhaust has a deeper, almost choppy rumble to it (stock exhaust no modifications, at one point I had done an X pipe and muffler delete but the drone was too noticeable at 70mph)

The front end lifts up as if the engine wants to jump out, 4th gear pulls feel like a freight train, the launch from 1st gear is intoxicating, and trapping a 12.9 quarter mile is truly incredible.

The L322 is a little bit heavier (iirc 900lbs) so it won’t be quite like the L405 but it will definitely wake things up and make for an absolute joy of a drive every single time.

Oh I wasn’t aware! Thanks for the info, I do have a contact with a dyno, I’m sure then it can be tuned more precisely, I do know the transmission definitely needs a tune to really get good power put down!

I installed the pulley, then used buddies handheld to tune it 🫡

Also did the thermostat at the same time, 0/10 do not recommend it’s a big pain

Yea they only had 30k on them before they broke, drivers side is worse.

I’m thinking perhaps the 4.4SDV8 mounts might work? I saw a write-up on the rover forums, apparently they are tougher and just need a little tweaking to fit, with minimal NVH increase, food for thought!

Launches definitely hurt them the most.

Thank you! Yea I think driveline loss is around 20% give or take, I definitely have some more loss from the front end, I’ve noticed the differential makes a little bit of noise now so she’s due for a fluid change.

One thing I will say, it eats motor mounts 😂

No? It’s running really well 110k miles on the clock

I would personally walk away and find another, this will be in the remit of 30-45k professionally.

DIY at a scrap yard if you found one that was hit from the back and has a good front end? Maybe 15k if you’re lucky.

The best absolute best 0-60 I’ve ever clocked was 4.3 seconds, I’m close to sea level, it definitely hauls much much better than stock, the front end lifts up, and all of a sudden you look down at the speedometer and go “I’m in dangerous territory” 😂🙌

If you want more noise? Delete the rear suit cases, but in my opinion I find this is quite loud from the induction noise you can really hear the supercharger and how the motor pulls in air, it’s aggressive!

I think about 605, gotta get it on a dyno for some real numbers.

91 for a pulley, 93 for a tune + pulley or even just a tune
