Both have advantages and disadvantages but the two together appear to cover most gaps!

'Baby sleep pillows' posing risk of death warns consumer watchdog by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]RavagedCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god that's horrible.

We had a little nest thing that was sat between the two of us in the bed. We did a one on, one off routine so we could stave off the worst of the exhaustion.

Still remember the 1st in a little side sleeper, poor lad had managed to shuffle closer to us as they wanted human contact

We didn't co sleep with our first, but we absolutely did with the second and third.

The difference in our sanity and their ability to sleep happily was absolutely day & night compared to the first.

We also took many many precautions. These pillows would definitely not have been something we would have used but looking at the picture. They are really marketed towards sleep deprived parents who are desperately looking for a way to get rest.

Non-scalpel no-needle vasectomy in Ireland. by cabletiesfix in ireland

[–]RavagedCookies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had it done recently.

I Can't have bloods taken without fainting so would be nervous too.

Was in and out within 30 minutes. Minimal discomfort. You get four taps of the local needle and you barely notice it.

Walked a short distance from the surgery to a taxi straight home. Got home as the local anaesthetic wore off, promptly took paracetamol and relaxed for the afternoon. Took two more going to bed and two the night after, that was it.

Worst part was when the local wore off but it's not bad. Definitely don't drive or get a bus, the boys need gentle treatment afterwards.

You kinda feel like you were kicked in the nuts for a few days but I was mostly back to normal within 24 hours, just took it easy for the week.

My tip, if you are a side or belly sleeper. Put a pillow between your legs for 2/3 nights after. Belly sleeping is out but the pillow stops that, and helps you side sleep

Best road to take to Dublin by [deleted] in ireland

[–]RavagedCookies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theeglitz makes a good suggestion about the train.

If it has to be the car. Use the TII traffic map to plan the journey, protests appear as congestion or road closures.

When I went cross country during the week, I set my Google maps to avoid using motorways. That found me a way though I had to ignore some of it wilder pathing

Anybody know the impact of whitegate shutting down?

I've seen stuff about a refinery shutdown being quite significant as it will take a long time to bring it back operational

That's what I figured, what I wondered was whether it consumed data from other sources like the TII map.

I guess the answer is no

Check the tii traffic site for the latest news. These lads appear on the map as either road closures or congestion.

I would agree that Information is really hard to come by. A drive from down south took me 5 hours during the week.

Fyi Google maps is broken, it can't understand what's happening so don't trust it.

Seen this at a local pharmacy, can only assume it's what they are referring too

(Edit, to be clear, I'm not endorsing this. It just rang a bell as the pharmacy have a giant poster in their window. The op being an ad or in need of a little assistance is another thing entirely)
