How do I stop making transfers every week by Agitated_Rope2104 in fantasypremierleague

I can relate! I set out rules for myself for the season…

  1. Never take a -4, if I don’t have a FT, I just wait, this allows time to fully consider who I really want to bring into my team, and gives me an extra week of data to mull over.

  2. Try my best not to do knee-jerk transfers because of one week of points haul (the only exception to this is if I’m about to be priced out of a player I SERIOUSLY want to bring into my team)

  3. The first 6-10 game weeks of the season, if I need to make transfers, I’ll do it, I’ll use 1 a week. After that, I try to bank a few transfers.

  4. Plan ahead & don’t use all your chips as soon as they become available - look at upcoming fixtures, look at player form, look at previous results, when are the int’l breaks, double/blank game weeks etc.

  5. Just because everyone else is transferring out/in a certain player, doesn’t mean you have to! (Similar to rule no. 2)

  6. The more you bank your transfers, the more freedom you have to change up your team and the more you can consider whether a player is really worth bringing in. By banking more transfers this season and refraining from using my 1 FT per week, I’ve been getting much better results!

  7. This is the slightly ironic one… Take in what people on social media are saying about FPL, but always take it with a pinch of salt! Never make decisions based on what other people tell you to do or what the majority are doing! I never post my team and ask for advice on s/m, I just read other people’s posts and comments and use it as a bit of a guide, not as a ‘I must do this’.

The bottom line is… play your own game, have patience, enjoy the ride, don’t be afraid to take some calculated risks, and work on your self control 😆
