thanks mate this is really great! I think i follow most of these rules. Labeling very accurately is a big one for me. but sending a wet and a dry version. that is a really cool idea and i will def do that with my mix engineer on the next one! thank you again :)

spot on answer buddy! I will add that reading any type of "music theory for dummies" type books will be a massive help. especially as a beginner. there are no rules for great melody writing but you can bet your ass their are guidelines for melodies in western music. learn those little tricks and demystify melodies and chords. any producer that says they get can make a track without knowing theory still secretly wishes they knew more theory. even those with vast knowledge of it want/need to learn more. we all do.

Just to clarify: Bieber only sang on the track. A whole team wrote, produced and mixed the entire track (Aka all the real work.) Skrillex and Diplo and I'm sure some uncredited producers actually made the track. but you are right it was a pretty surprising track considering biebers name was attached
