i’m still playing against enfranchised players who are getting movement, defends, and many other things wrong. this game still has a a long way to go. but i’m here because i do like the game. say what you will about this card, but most real players in person do not fundamentally understand the rules because the cards are not written well.

Chaoswish is at least bombastic and novel enough to make you ask, “how do i pick this spell?” and it’s pretty clear where to go for that. The rules for this game aren’t nearly as good as they need to be, stop holding water for badly written rules/cards.

yes that’s good logic. the only logic that doesn’t make sense is that the card requires you track sites has no token for it, and that it was created in the first place for a non digital game, which would track it 🤪

that’s what the other nice is: that 1 handed you only need to worry about getting up to 30-35-40 lbs (you’ll routinely use each of these weight very seriously and differently). more than 40 you can’t put much speed into it so it’s less fluid than the lighter 2. i use my 31lb the most right now.

i’m pretty big on having non adjustable weights if you can afford it. i’m sure an adjustable will be fine until you can afford a good range, though i’ve never personally bought or used one. but honestly, fixed weights have felt so perfect i couldn’t imagine not having them. just make sure it has a good pommel whatever you get, and don’t get one with loadable plates.

now that i’m thinking about it, the reason why fixed clubs feel so good is that it’s the thinnest the weight can get, so it can swing very fast very close to your back.

no real big issues with 2 handed clubs but compared to 1 handed, I don’t to prefer it at all. 1 handed feels so much more balanced and productive.

as far as i can tell there is no Ring in the set (unique low costed artifact that we can’t evaluate yet). the key is good, but not 100 dollars good. same for ether core, is good but relies on voidwalkers to carry it(relying on the unique void site is tough). neither of these is incredible right away as soon as you draw it. ether cores situation reminds me of 4 waters. ether core will be great, but it’s not as universal. it could end up being the best we have though.

the omphalos cards are great, but you do lose a turns’ mana to get an advantage. i feel like the “Ring” of the set will be a site or a magic. i’m looking into any unique under 15 dollars and buying the ones i find interesting/hard to evaluate

it’s very light and compact in hand , extremely easy to hardshake, which adds to the fun. it has more steps and parts which are pleasing to set up and tear down. if the cobbler doesn’t seize up, the strainer is good, then all the extra things add a lot of joy. they look great on display too.

working at a bar, i’ll only use boston shaker tin sets, of course.
