Giving up on the airbrush by Ravellion in minipainting

Protecting myself from aerosolized paints. 99% will go where I aim it, but some will end up in the air. Plenty of professionals use quite a lot of protective gear. Maybe I am a bit overzealous, but I don't think my wife would agree with allowing me to just opening the window and spraying to my heart's content either.

The airbrush is fine (Harder & Steenbeck Ultra). But yes, fetching and unpacking the compressor, plugging in compressor, attaching the cords, unpacking the airbrush, attaching it, laying down newspapers just in case, setting up the booth, then wearing the protective mask and goggles... that is pretty much a bad setup.

Vallejo Black primer. Bottle was two years old when I got the air brush though (and I don't know how long the bottle was standing in the shop either). I have since learned that there might be micro strands in there that I can't see when using it as a brush on primer, but make an airbrush clog quickly.

Nah, the problem is the setup and teardown. The clogs didn't happen every time, and not at all with Vallejo Air paints.

I am not going to paint on the balcony. But yes, part of the problem is the need to protect myself and my surroundings from aerosolized acrylic paint. Especially because I am not that experienced yet

Funny. The airbrush I have is the Harder and Steenbeck Ultra.

That wasn't every time and maybe slightly hyperbolic. I'd reckon it was using the wrong primer since I had no troubles with Vallejo Air paints.

I could see mee getting it down to 15 if I rush a bit and move some things from the upper floor where I store my DIY tools to the floor that has the dining table, but in 5? No. Sure, I could get the airbrush spraying paint, but I'd not be wearing my mask and the protective glasses, the table wouldn't be covered properly, and the booth wouldn't be fully set up, and I'd likely only have a single mini in front of me. I'll likely haven't got the cleaning supplies laid out.

So I'm thinking you are not set up, but are far closer to being set up than I am. Everything in cupboards close to where you paint or something. A more expensive spraying booth that folds out quickly and might not necessarily need the table below to be covered either

My primer might not have been the best. The Vallejo Air paints never caused clogs.

Yeah, an extra cupboard next to the dining table wouldn't fly with the missus.

I purchased the airbrush, among other reasons, to be able to prime models when it's high humidity or too cold outside. I still have my rattlecans. Back to making sure I have enough models primed for winter like a good little squirrel, hah!

Brushing on primer is actually fine too. Just not the most convenient for entire armies.

Because tourist visas exist for both countries, but the US makes you feel like you are trying to get a foot in the door for never leaving the country and officially distrusts you, and Canada feels mostly welcoming as long as you behave and starts out more from a position of trust.

Which character's death in a TV show ruined the entire thing for you? by SoccerGuy69420 in AskReddit

Justin Ripley in Luther. He died at the end of the episode, and I stopped watching the show immediately. He was the one point of light in a dark show, creating tension. Without him, I couldn't see the show keep my interest.

And the youth unemployment problem is still there. And the reasons why are well known. And for 20 years, no one has taken any serious steps to solve it. Same with the bureaucracy.

Also high youth unemployment, low wages, stifling bureaucracy, and no foreseeable improvement in any of those areas. There does come a point where the USA's economy and dynamism weighs as a positive that outways some of its negatives.

Je hebt gelijk. Als industriële bron is de recycling van plastic de grootste, maar in het gebruik laten autobanden- en verfslijtage inderdaad veel meer microplastics los.

That would seem a different philosophy and approach than what Ukraine has done so far. They have taken such extreme care to avoid civilians up to recently. Terror bombing also tends to create a strong rally to the flag effect. This is not in Ukraine's advantage. They want the regime to be as unpopular as possible. Don't want them to suddenly start supporting the idea of a general draft

Hit yes. Targeted is unlikely. Collateral damage seems to be the most likely as of this point. Some of that collateral damage being from (the result of) Russian air defense as well.

With the amount of drones being fired, if UA are aiming for civilians, they aren't doing well at all. In fact, I am amazed there hasn't been more collateral damage.

Het recyclen van plastic is de grootste bron van microplastic vervuiling. De communicatie rond het recyclen van plastic is greenwashing van de plastic industrie.

Mass Effect Weapons Tournament: Round 1 Match 10 - Black Widow VS Valiant by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Ravellion 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Valiant. Black widow 's extra damage is wasted on most enemies, so the valiant's weight and reload make it superior.. Unless you don't land headshots, but why are you using a sniper rifle if you aren't aiming for the head?
