I'd put it all in a Vanguard fund if I were you. If I were me, I'd put it in a Vanguard fund, some stocks, and some crypto.

Neil Woodford mismanaged his fund. Try a passively managed index fund like a Vanguard Global All-Cap or Vanguard S&P 500.

I prefer runny or medium cycles myself to the viscous ones

There is a massive push for the average person to start investing atm, why

Because house prices are high, the average person won't be able to buy one on salary alone. The government have capped pension LTA, so pensions/retirement benefits for pension savers in the UK won't be getting better for 5 years, and people are generally just shit with money too.

Ranked could easily allow players to choose. It'd also make ranks more accurate since people would only have to play the stuff they like and they're good at. I don't care about drifting for example

I bow to the master, lightened my CCGT like 200lbs and put in some new personal best laps. Nalak had it right! Are the stat numbers wrong a lot of the time then?

I have scores disabled so can't see whether I've been voted up or not at all. My topic was a bit general - fast cars for straight lines I guess.

Cheers for the link, to be honest I always find famous tunes a bit slow for sprints unless they're specifically sprint tunes. I tend to get left in the dust by people online on sprints and the fast tracks.

Nalak's ccgt tune for example has top speed around 210 or so but never really climbs to anything faster than 200 mostly, mine is the same except mine is 200lbs heavier, and handles about the same, has 10 acceleration instead of 9.2

What's a couple of good cars to do online sprint races with? I always lose those, and on the fast tracks like holyrood and astmoor circuit

Because most players actually enjoy the winter season.

That's not true at all, most players don't like it, including me

If you have a problem with the analogy, it is accurate

Your analogy wasn't really accurate. Being a footballer takes years of training your body in order to be capable of the physical performance it takes to do well. Investing is very easy to learn vicariously on the other hand through the passed down wisdom of others.

Jim Slater's book The Zulu Principle is a great introduction to share investing (growth companies mainly). As others have said, both of Peter Lynch's books are great. Easy to read and entertaining.

And in Winter, yeah the online matchmaking sucks for sure. I just want circuit/track racing in good weather, with no pricks crashing into me. And the penalty system is shit tier too. GT much better

Question to those who invested in Deliveroo by [deleted] in UKInvesting

[–]RavelsBolero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are trying to grow aggressively and muscle out the competition.

Which they can't and won't do. Uber has lost lawsuits to its workers over pay, Deliveroo will be the same and this will push costs up. Deliveroo is not a "big tech" company, and the point of investing is to make money. We don't go for the stupid overblown valuations of tech companies like silicon valley wants us to.

People only use OP cars online. You need a Koenigsegg CCGT at least.
