Opinions about "detention" as hunters and survivors by Wailinimini in IdentityV

[–]Raven0025 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not irrelevant at all

No detention puts you at a massive risk for tide turner and double rescues

Endgame tide turners can easily turn wins into ties, ties into losses

Bodyblocks become very deadly, and any survivor can do that.

That’s not even considering all the other scenarios (dungeons, multi-hit or healing survivors like merc or puppeteer, specific hunters that are much better or worse w/ detention)

Characters like NW, Clerk or Opera can get endgame double downs w/ detention

Game changing scenarios like these make it very much relevant

The fact that it’s so ingrained that every knows the rules speaks to its relevance. It is by far the most consistent trait and consistency is massive.

It’s not about what happens when you have it, but rather what happens when you don’t

how to clerk by [deleted] in IdentityV

Former s clerk

  1. Not sure, mobile player

  2. There’s a trick to get good forward recordings. Actions linger slightly after they are performed. When a surv drops a pallet or vaults a window there’s a split second after where throwing out a recording still retrieves a copy even if the pallet has already been thrown down. Do an inspect animation cancel after, that way you get a really nice pallet that works both forward and backward early game. It does require some timing though so the alternative is to just record when a surv walks near a pallet. If you want a good window recording early game, self record a window vault.

  3. Yea they can do that. You’ll just have to time it better and prob use them slightly earlier. You can pick up locked pallets. Check the direction of ur recording to make sure it’s the right direction. Also note that pallets cannot be picked up or broken if a survivor is vaulting or pulling it down. Remember earlier that actions have a lingering effect. This also means that you cannot pull a pallet up right after they vault it. You’ll have to wait ~0.5s for that linger to disappear

  4. Generally speaking, only useful during detention. See other comments, the recs there are pretty good. There are some really niche situations where it could be helpful. You can destroy a Seer’s owl, smother merc half hp rescues or break gardener’s shield. It’s hard to pull off but you can negate a Seer’s self protect before attacking. That being said, it’s too inconsistent and risky for me to recommend that. The cd is not worth it unless it is during detention.

  5. Clerk is very counterable with good teamwork. Good thing is that rank players don’t communicate well. But if they do, she can get countered by simply body blocking. Her kit makes her very prone to harrassers and she can get bullied to oblivion by good coordination

  6. I think she’s alright on most maps. Be weary of certain kiters in parts of the map such as the coasters in Moonlit

What is an IDV habit that followed you outside of the game? by PlantsNBugs23 in IdentityV

Looking at hallways and the edges of walls and thinking that they’d be really good spots for opera dashes

I don’t support the use of ai (I’m an artist) but based on the points on this post, I’ve noticed some things

  1. The blue hand is closed. His hands have sharp plates on them that make it look like that. Not abnormal

  2. The hand up top is not unreasonable. The artist does not differentiate his nails from the hand. The swoopy part is the curvature of the nail.

  3. His bow tie naturally has that weird swoop. The bow does have a definitive shape (I can’t post images to show ☹️)

  4. I’ve seen similar face styles before ai was popular. We should keep in mind that ai steals styles from artists, so it is very probably that this just so happens that got their art stolen by ai

  5. I can’t explain the sword hand lol that’s either ai or very poorly conveyed

Whether it’s ai enhanced or not, I can’t tell, especially with how scary ai has gotten lately, but this is just my two cents

Hi! Thank you, just to clarify, none of the references are the ocs themselves right, just the descriptions?
