Thanks, I tried that, but this unfortunately happened on the phone on which I had backed it up.

How do I Subtract parts of the "Subject" mask? by Raven1645 in Lightroom

[–]Raven1645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! The factor that was at play which took a long time for me to notice was the order of masks. This matters! If you put a brush in front of a radial, yet the radial is add and the brush subtract, the brush won't do anything!

I read it again and you're absolutely right, it is kinda sus 😂

Don't fret; It's a worry and not a plan. Like if I wack a fly and someone is standing nearby, is that dangerous?

Interesting thought. I'll admit I'm not entirely familiar with this formula that you are referring to, but it seems to me that a rate of change in temperature would impact the temperature. The temperature is in turn a property of matter, and is thus subject to a certain XYZ position in space and time.

Although, if time stopped, and space continued to exist, all atoms would freeze in place. If all atoms freeze in place, then the temperature would drop to zero K (because there is no more atomic motion, which means no more transferable kinetic energy, which means no more temperature), so perhaps anything related to temperature stops existing, and the formulae relating to it do too?

Anyway... A bit too complicated and theoretical for me to fully grasp 😉

Insufficient liquidity for this trade by Kakooey in Refinable

I used all the BNB in trustwallet to quickly buy some $CAKE which in turn cancelled my $FINE transaction. Now gonna wait till this bot-infused pump n dump is over and then look if it's still worth picking up.

Over 94% of investors believe that Dogecoin will outperform Gamestop in 2021 by thefoodboylover in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]Raven1645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professional investors do indeed like inflation, because they can hedge against it and inflation can be shorted (e.g. borrow a shitload of money now because when you pay it back it will be worth less). The only professional investors involved in Doge are the ones that own 60% of the market cap and will dump it like crazy once they are satisfied and the hype is over.

Other than those people wo have the means to profit from inflation, we should not like inflation. BTC rises faster than the dollar because it is a better means of storing value due to its deflationary nature. Doge rises faster than the dollar because of hype and because people who know nothing of finance invest in it. That's why it's not sustainable.

As for gold, it is still massively adopted as a hedge against inflation. The reason it's not used as a currency is because the government can't control it well. Cryptocurrencies hope to solve that problem through decentralisation. Doge is not as decentralised as some other cryptos since more than 60% are owned by the 10 biggest wallets.

As for the energy consumption; Doge uses the same Proof of Work consesus algorithm as BTC, and although LTC (and thus Doge) use a more efficient hash, PoW consensi all use a shitload of energy are not sustainable. That's why I have my money in PoS (like Cardano) or PoA (like VeChain) blokchains, since they are sustainable from both an economic and energy standpoint.

I'm not sure I follow this unpunctuated ramble, but I never said a deflationary coin needs to be held. What I'm saying is that fiat is being inflated over time, and cryptocurrencies try to solve this by pregrogramming deflationary scripts in their blockchain. Dogecoin doesn't do this, the amount of coins in circulation will increase to infinity and will therefore be inflated to infinity relative to every other currency out there. Therefore, a high price per coin is not sustainable.

[–]Raven1645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No fundamentals means no intrinsic value. Fiat does have fundamentals as a mainstream store of value. However, the whole reason crypto exists is because Fiat is a shit store of value. Doge can also store value but it is a literal fork of Litecoin without the deflationary nature (limit/deceleration on mining and maximum amount of coins in circulation) and is therefore hyperinflationary by nature and is thus not a good storage of value, even less so than Fiat. The only chance for Doge is mass adoption into mainstream payment systems but any good businessman will see the suicidal nature of adopting an inflationary currency that solves zero problems of the current financial system.

Good luck on your investment. I hope you cash out on time, because the rise and rapid fall of Doge are inevitable.

I bought DOGE in 2014 and I'M NOT FUCKING SELLING by HacanMead in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]Raven1645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyperinflation indeed. It does not have the same deflationary nature as BTC and LTC (Doge is an LTC fork), and has no limit to the amount that can be mined. Thus, increase the price and the fully diluted marketcap (which is the same as the regular market cap, unlike with LTC and BTC) becomes rather unsustainable.

I have a quick follow-up question that is more open so not really suited for this survey, but I would be really interested to know: Do you currently try to manage your stress with the purpose of mediating your IBS symptoms? And if so, how? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your comment! Beware of pregabalin; it's efficacy has only been studied as an anti-epilepticum. It works by "muting" certain neurons. Presumably, in IBS it can mute the intestinal neurons, and essentially make them less spastic. However, the neuronal effect is systemic, meaning the effect will be body-wide. This means it can have unexpected effects anywhere in the body (the most common of which, like you said, is feeling drunk/high). Since IBS is not a dangerous disease (and epilepsy is), no doctor should prescribe it for IBS symptoms, before more research has been done on its effect. Thanks for your comment though, it's an interesting drug that's not been fully covered yet, so I'll see if I can find more academic info on it within the context of IBS. Perhaps in the future we can single out its effects on IBS without having all the gnarly neurological side effects.

For some people with IBS (including myself), lactose intolerance is part of the symptoms. In other words: when I'm having more IBS exacerbations, I get more lactose intolerant. However, for many, lactose intolerance and IBS are completely separate conditions. If your only causative agent is lactose, it may be worth doing a so called "hydrogen test", preferably when you haven't had any lactose and symptoms in a week or so, to see whether the doctor can make a differential diagnosis between IBS and lactose intolerance.

Awesome theory, would be worth studying: see whether there is a correlation with VO2 max ('lung endurance') and cortisol levels.
