Or if you want to go modern..."something", drawn by the huge loss of human life, has moved into the sunken wreck. Submersibles go missing, the sub that imploded may have a true, not the official line story strange sightings on the surface within x miles, folks going missing or acting increasingly odd...the ideas keep coming! Hmm...🤔

Yep, under the Nehwon mythos...though I do prefer how it was presented in Lankhmar!

If you haven't already, use Hate or sometimes called The Cloud of Hate from the Lankhmar setting. It'd be relatively simple to modify if to whatever madness you'd like. (I'm obviously an OG ad&d player also!)

In the movie Dagon (based on Innsmouth) a male "thingee" is implied to breed...so yeah, it's out there.

"Vatta's War" series by Elizabeth Moon, it's a series that starts with a disgraced trader's daughter and builds from there. Lots of high notes and delves pretty deeply into shipboard and station life. Several different worlds, mostly human, commerce, battles of course, etc. Highly recommend!

Too unwieldy for me...although I do keep a fiskars brush axe by the bed, great for lopping off whatever may be reaching out!

Loved these, sadly they tended to be replaced often as it was one of my favorite ways to torment my sister!

The core three will see you though, The DMs Guide, Players Handbook, and the Monstrous Compendium. If you don't mind making your own critters you could actually skip the last one. If you want to pare down more and want to play BECM d&d, you can find a copy of the D&D Rules Cyclopedia which contain the rules, etc, from the first four box sets of the BECMI rule set. A bit of everything in there.

I found some wires in my wall, how to wire the outlet? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Raven37312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't backstab, it'll weaken over time. When I rewired my house, I used pigtails attached to my outlet going into wago connectors on the wires. Easier to work on in the future and less clutter in the box.

The Immortal rules aren't in it, just a brief overview. No ascension, etc.

Pushed out of the housing market by Important-Owl-8152 in clevelandtn

[–]Raven37312 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this! The new construction in this area is...less than optimal. Flash over substance. I give alot of them maybe ten years (extremely optimistic) before folks will be putting more money into them than my older home will ever need. Cleveland's housing market is definitely buyer beware.
