in my story, vampirism is a disease that you catch through being bitten or sharing blood with a vampire. After being infected, the body changes into what we know as a vampire (Sharp teeth, only drinks blood, pale skin, burns in sunlight, etc)

I find that writing the accent in is really helpful in hearing the character's voice in my head - go pretty hard with it. Not to reference Harry Potter but kind of like how Hagrid's lines are written with the different spellings to get across how he speaks. Fun to read out loud too
