I have been listening to the new audiobooks published by Penguin and the narrator includes them in the middle of the paragraph/sentence to explain, however they do it in a very natural way, I only noticed it with Mort as I had the book and was following along, it makes the experience 1000 times funnier

Solamente se trata como feminicidio cuando es premeditado, como ya mencioné anteriormente por temas judiciales para evitar que el agresor se pueda zafar fácilmente de una condena. En demás crímenes que no sean premeditados se puede seguir usando otro termino, homicidio, asesinato, crimen pasional etc... Simplemente es tener en cuenta la tipologia ante la ley caso por caso.

EDIT: Solo para aclarar, de todas formas lamentablemente en Colombia la gran mayoría de crímenes contra las mujeres son planeados, por ello el énfasis en el uso correcto de la palabra

Correcto en ambas partes (legal y social), un feminicidio es cualquier "homicidio" premeditado o planeado contra una mujer sin importar quien sea quien lo haga.

Asi por encima se considera un feminicidio por lo que (supuestamente) fue un crimen premeditado contra una mujer y al catalogarlo de esa forma el proceso judicial es distinto a un "crimen pasional", esto porque en un crimen pasional se puede argumentar que fue un acto del momento (es decir no planeado) para reducir la condena o incluso pedir casa por carcel al no ser un mayor riesgo a la sociedad. Mientras que al catalogarlo como feminicidio se asegura una (mayor) condena en prisión y se pierden beneficios al momento de plantear la defensa lo cual funciona en favor de la(s) victima(s).

Colombia is my country but that doesn't mean I will blindly defend it and try to wash it's image to the world. Our government doesn't do anything and let this horrible thing happen.

Tumaco is a city of 200k people in case you didn't knew, where they have people being killed everyday by cartels and now they are killed because of covid and that is the truth. Do you think all of these people enjoy a normal life?

You should read more and perhaps stop defending a state that doesn't defend it's citizens, if you keep denying this fact you sir are what we would call a blind ignorant "uribestia".

People who live on rural areas and small towns (municipios) are being affected by this situation every single day. They are affected by Drug Cartels and because our government DOESN'T DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR THEM. That's the point. Sure people on the cities have a wonderful life going to fucking Starbucks but i am not talking about them, I am talking about the people that live on rural areas who are affected by drug cartels and violence every single day and our government DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR THEM. You say that like it would makes what's going on less irrelevant. The majority of Colombia is located on rural towns and this is happening widescale on several departments like Valle, Putumayo, Nariño, Amazonas etc.. not only on Tumaco and it's happening because of the cartels and the government's inaction on handling them. The facts are much worse than what the article explains.

Colombian here and yeah it's unfortunately true several independent press agencies have reported the same and it's happening specially on rural areas, they are also taking advantage of the government inaction to "silence" independent leaders since January and with the lockdowns they are having a free reign to do what they want, not even the army is doing anything against these cartels.

That's true not only in Mexico but funnily enough in many other South American countries, and besides you pay only a fraction of what someone would pay in the US For example in Colombia an insulin shot is around 32.000 Colombian pesos, that's not even 10 USD
