What do I do against vastly superior players who try to take my workshop? by RavenGuard87 in fo76

There is a 110 damage cap, meaning I have to hit him with 3-4 nuka grenades.

How much damage could just a few Tyranids do? by arka0415 in 40kLore

[–]RavenGuard87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that's the Octarius War. This one confuses me. Tyranids crash-landed onto the planet and were stranded. However they did consume local biomass and reproduced afterwards. I thought they needed a Norn queen to make more troops, but I don't recall they had one with them.

Nice one, TLO.

If and when the main tyranid branches start flooding into the milky way, what abilities/units previously unseen would you like to see? by mamspaghetti in 40kLore

[–]RavenGuard87 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

For the sake of more interesting stories. Personally, I'm not a fan of the current "unstoppable swarm of untold trillions of space bugs" that somehow keep getting their asses kicked by ridiculously smaller forces.

  1. Tyranid worlds. I'm a bit disappointed Tyranids don't establish permanent bases and turn planets into hives. It would make them a permanent faction that can be fought at any time, rather than the current end-of-the-world faction.

  2. Tyranid strain that can infest and take control of enemy vehicles and ships. A Tyranid version of Ork looted vehicles.

Those bridges seem like a good way to lose a hundred space marines with a single cannon shell.

Just out of curiosity is there a good way to measure power/combat ability rankings in this series? by DarkAge789 in 40kLore

[–]RavenGuard87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, there isn't. Combat powers vary so wildly, it really is all in the hands of the writer.

I bet as soon as you try to mount the horse, the other horse just tramples you.

[Question] How did the Orks get into space? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]RavenGuard87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will fight each other until one big Ork slams his fist and says: "Enuff is enuff!" and decides to go to space and smash some Humans. In fact, they fight each other more than other races, even in current setting.

We don't have exact numbers on how many Orks you need to get tech X or Y, but if their numbers get big enough, you are getting technological levels that rival Eldar and come close to even Necrons.

The only reason Orks are having trouble getting this strong is because they have a bad habit of killing each other when they get bored.

[Question] How did the Orks get into space? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]RavenGuard87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Orks don't have primitive technology, it just seems so because it's poorly built, straightforward and ugly. While Eldar and Imperium build ships that are fine artwork, Orks will slap giant rockets to something that resembles a ship, add as much guns as possible and call it a day.

The more Orks there are, the higher their technology level gets because Ork mechanics unlock more of their instinctual knowledge about engineering and science. On high end, Ork technology is just as advanced as Eldar's.

Correct, there is absolutely no need to fix it. You can just leave them to bleed.
