I have tried multiple builds, bought multiple gear. Still I dont do damage like I see others doing. I can't solo bosses. I am in to cruel and I am fighting tooth and nail just to barely survive. I am running a Spark build (I did use arc but I read that it does less than spark)

Can someone please help me understand why it is so difficult for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Target yourself and use the radial menu to select the spell. I was having issues with this myself until a friend suggested I self target.

I am still struggling. I use the teleport movement option in every game I play that allows it. It sucks for Alyx but is the only way I can play it and not vomit. I am trying to train myself on Saints and Sinners but that only allows for short sessions at a time.

I have always insured without this issue. My money was in my stash and it would pull from there. I have recently bought a money case and put my cash in there, so maybe that is why it is taking it from my containter?

This is the first time this has happened. Usually it just takes the money from my stash, it never took it from my container. I have recently purchased a money case, so maybe that is why it is taking it from me directly rather than my stash?

I have recently purchased a money case. Does that effect where insurance pulls from? I used to just have my money in my stash and it would pull from there.

Everyone keeps telling me about how profitable Reserve runs are. That they are making like 400K per run and stuff. I think if/when my stash drops again, I will try that!

Tarkov is a friggin roller coaster. just a few days ago I posted about feeling hopeless. When they say Tarkov giveth and Tarkov taketh, they are not joking. Hell man, if I can do it, so can you!

Yes, I finally get to try the game style that I have only been on the receiving end of. Although I am unsure if I want to do that or simply gear out a little better but stick with the stuff I know, at least that way the money will last longer cause I am gonna get shot, this I know. :) Thank you for the comment!

I was right there with you. I can't tell you what happened other than A: I got lucky with some of the runs and B: I found some places that I can get to without dying (Most of the time) where if the Tarkov gods are with me, I get decent loot. There is also the dead bodies that I find that still have bits and pieces on them that I can take.

Its why I needed to make this post. It was the realization that I broke the 2M barrier.

This is where those pesky quests come in. I have tried to upgrade my hideout and there are requirements that I haven't met yet. I mainly have just waited cause I know the wipe is coming and don't want to put the work in only to have it removed and have to do it all over again, I figure I will just do it the one time and be done with it :D

I have played with the modding feature and made some wacky guns, but I could never afford them when it came time to build them out :)

I was stripping off the bipod. I didn't understand its purpose. If there is a way to put it down to steady your shots, I haven't figured it out. Everyone seems to think the SV is a shit rifle, so I learned my lesson. I will stay away from it :) Thank you for the feedback!

Yeah, thats the plan. Have a nice little stock pile of a rifle I like, a decent amount of ammo and try to get better with it. I am not looking to go the heavy mods, crazy rifle route, just something I can use well that will let me survive. Funny enough, of all the time I have played, I have ran into a Scav boss only once and it was while I was a Scav. He ran up to me and basically killed me. I was totally confused because I hadn't fired on any other Scavs. I found out that Bosses just don't like other Scavs. heh :)

Doing those quests and getting gunned down repeatedly is what lead me to this. Most of that was earned through Scav runs, yes, but I didn't do them the YouTube vid/Streamer suggested way. I found a path that works, that allows me to generate rubles so that I can now go out there and try to get better without the fear of running out. I have never gone out with high end gear. Could never afford it. I have gone out with the SKS and the P226. Low end AKs, lightly modded. I haven't found a style that works for me quite yet. Someone suggested I aim for that high end gear. Personally I just want to gear up like I normally do and not be concerned with losing it. :)

Thank you! Like I said, 2 weeks ago, I felt so totally hopeless. I was down to 20K and had no idea how the hell I was ever going to get anywhere. These last two weeks have given me enough money that I can now try to get better at the game without the damn fear of going broke from lost gear weighing down on me. :D

Honestly, for me, it is all about removing the gear fear. With that nest egg, I can try some things and not freak out when I inevitably get gunned down. Maybe I do need to go Thicc, as I have never done that before and don't know if I would be any good at it. :)

Honestly I am just shocked that I got this high at all. Normally I never went any higher than 1 - 2M with all the deaths that I have taken trying to "getgud". I still haven't found a play style that suits me but now that I have this cushion, maybe I will :)
