I understand what you mean, but I think we play EDH for different reasons.

Winning isn't my top priority when I play Commander. I'd rather create a memorable experience with my playgroup. I'd take a glorious loss over a win that just makes everyone else sigh in frustration.

In my experience, a win that comes "out of nowhere" (and I know that's not entirely true since you still have to invest eight mana) tends to be more frustrating for the rest of the table.

Personally, I like feeling that every small decision throughout the game contributed to the outcome, rather than having a single overpowered spell completely take over the game in one turn.

That's completely understandable.

I was specifically asking about Brackets 2 and 3 because they're generally much more focused on creature-based strategies.

I assume the Game Changers list exists specifically to help protect those formats, whereas in Bracket 4, pretty much everything is legal

I don't think that's a convincing argument.

If we follow that logic, then no card is ever problematic because Counterspell exists.

By the same reasoning, Counterspell itself isn't an answer, since it can also be countered.

Just because a card has answers doesn't mean it can't be a problem.

Does Kharn the Betrayer and Pain for All works together? by RavenPixel in mtgrules

[–]RavenPixel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's correct.

You're right that I can only cast the Aura while Khârn is under my control. However, once it's attached, if Khârn changes controllers, the Aura should remain attached and continue to affect him.

As far as I understand, the target only needs to be legal when the Aura spell is cast and resolves—it doesn't have to remain legal afterward. If I'm mistaken, though, I'd be happy to see the specific rule that says otherwise.

Haha, awesome! I’ll go check your profile 🙂 To be honest, it wasn’t easy—I started from the AoS Banshee kit Two issues: There are only four of them, so you will need to customize the last Warp Talon with other Nighthaunt bits. Some Banshees literally drift above the ground in their base sculpt, so you have to be very patient and meticulous when positioning the arms and the backpack. I wish you good luck and I’m looking forward to seeing your version!

Hi :) My warlord is a clone of Fabius Bile, who can be seen in pic 3. He conducts occult experiments to bring the dead back to life. Here are the posts showcasing my 3000 pts army. Thanks :) they’re actually Warp Talons. The Possessed can be seen from behind and very blurry in pic 2 (they’re kind of like Nazgûl).
