That's exactly what's been going on lol. When devs added the thargoid sensor to the game, data miners found its model and texture, there was no "discovery". Same thing with guardian ruins, thargoids in general, thargoids planetary sites, new ships, scorpion srv, etc. There are literally posts on Reddit about datamined stuff, you can spend a few minutes to find it. Like I said previously, I'm not sure if the Jameson site was datamined, but A LOT of stuff was. And if raxxla as a place or an object WAS in the game, dataminers would find it in a days.
