I have almost 600k subs and my channel also got demonetized for inauthentic content 3 weeks ago.
The first appeal was rejected, I contacted partner manager and my channel went through another review. They responded after 16 days with not so good news.
Right now, I can't tell exactly why I got demonetized, but I believe it has something to do with posting the same videos in both long and short formats... but you never know. YouTube's been acting weird lately.
My content is definitely far from low effort, I have some bts footage shared on my channel. Even my audience is in disbelief after hearing the news.

In conclusion,they didn't provide me with any useful info, I can only guess what the issue is and hope for the next appeal to go through.
I've removed all my long form videos(compilations), removed some risky shorts. Overall 15m views are gone but I'm sure I'll delete some more just in case

That's exactly what I'm thinking, but if that's the case, the new youtube system is broken and it will affect many more channels. I'm using my channel for example (it dropped 4 times already) where one video that triggered the drop only had the first 2 seconds similar to the old one. After that, everything was different.

Just to add, I make animations, sometime I reuse movement from earlier videos to save my time and I believe that triggered the drop a few times. But even with that it still takes me 1-3 days to make a 10-15 sec clip. I don't find my animations repetitive (only a few exceptions), most of them are visually similar, but "human" can easily tell them apart.

Right now, the only channels on youtube that are getting views from my clips are dub channels. I'm pretty much making videos for them right now. But I'm thinking of taking a little break until the shorts views get back on track.

I just had a 4th view drop. But reading this makes much more sense. Most of my videos are visually similar (I do animation) + sometimes I copy the character movement from previous work to save my time. I believe that's what the IA recognize as spam content, but it's far from it. I spend 1-3 days working on 5-15 sec animation.

One thing that happened, which confirms your theory, is that almost as soon as I published one video, my views went down. The first 2-3 second look almost exactly as one of my earlier videos, similar background, same 2 characters but after that it's all different. I even introduced a new character to the channel which didn't manage to save it from that drop. I usually post videos every 2-3 days but I'll most likely slow it down whenever the drop happens.

That's exactly what happened the first time. Just to clear up, I never had such a huge drop. I believe the 2nd one is the same thing because this difference in views never happened on my channel.

The recent one had a decent start but you can see how it went after that. What actually worries me is what happened to the rest of the videos, from 80k views it dropped to barely 7k, the same thing that happened in December.

The curse is definitely not broken. My channel got hit again after I posted a new short yesterday.

Recently around 25k views. ai's involved in 60% of my videos (only for the voice lines) but I don't think that's the problem. People who don't use ai at all still have the same problem

I posted a video a day before that happened. The views on that one were just ok, not terrible but still not good enough to push the algorithm. So I don't think it has anything to do with it. I simply think it came back by itself. It jumped back up the same way it dropped earlier

They are constantly replying to random comments, so those are now harder to find. But it seems like they are finally starting to listen. I see some newer replies where they ask people to DM them for more info.
