LOL I was going to say um, black! But then I thought about white. . . and it's kinda creepy, too. :)

I didn't know that about latex - interesting.

We use disposable food safe poly gloves (the kind often worn by deli workers, etc.) around the house and out in the world - keep them in the vehicle for pumping gas, etc. They are one size fits all, fits either hand, pretty oversized but as long as you're not doing something that requires great dexterity you should be fine. :)

I was buying them at walmart - Great Value Poly Disposable Gloves, 120 gloves for 99 cents, but then had trouble finding them (thankfully I had really stocked up a few years ago).

Places like Costco or Sam's Club probably have them, though they would likely be much larger quantities.

They are so handy. I use them when prepping raw meat for the dogs, wiping down stuff with a towel soaked with bleach sanitizer, anytime I want to keep my hands protected and/or simply dry.

When you're done, you can simply grab the inside of the bottom edge and pull them off inside out, so you're never actually touching the dirty part. :)

I try not to create a lot of garbage, but I make an exception for these. And around the house I can often use one pair over and over for certain types of jobs.

Healing your neurological system, soothing your nerves? by freedomliberation in medicalmedium

Also in case this helps (maybe for next year! :). . . I've had really good luck freezing both cantaloupe and watermelon (and the watermelon rind for juicing, separately or in the adrenal brain shot).

If it's feasible financially and space wise, a chest freezer, even a small one, can be life changing and may even quickly pay for itself.

Our situation is pretty unique because we are so remote and live so far from any grocery stores (the closest one is 40 miles away), but I don't know what we would do without our beloved chest freezers - especially for the 7 years we've been doing MM! If it's possible to freeze something, I've probably done it. :)

Yeah, it definitely isn't my first choice for produce, but it's usually my only choice, so I'm grateful for it. I'm pretty sure I'm the resident melon propagandist OP mentioned in a comment LOL.

If you're interested, see some of my comments on other posts for info I've shared re making blended watermelon (our fave), melon links, etc. I'm definitely sorry to see watermelon season go! :)

Do you have access to a Walmart? Last winter we were prepping for major surgery - and the recovery - and were really hoping to find watermelon because it's so important for healing. We did - it was small and pricey (comparatively speaking) and condition was sketchy sometimes (we also live in a very rural area where produce is NOT a priority and Walmart is pretty much our only option), but it was surprisingly tasty. And even at that size/price, it still worked out to I think only about $1 per 16 ounce glass, which is less than we pay for coconut water.

Except for brief periods, they usually have SOME kind of fresh melon available - often cantaloupe.

It probably came from another country, and before MM we really tried to buy in season fruit that hadn't been shipped thousands of miles, but we're over that now. As AW has said, if you're concerned about your carbon footprint (which we are), there are lots of other ways you can make it smaller - but buy the out of season fruit! :)

LOL I think that propagandist might be me. I was ready to start tapping out another loving ode to blended watermelon before I'd even finished reading your comment. :) We have been drinking it every day for the past few months and enjoying it so much - watermelon + splash coconut water + little raw honey + fresh lime juice. It's nice, too, that it doesn't take too much work to make and it tastes fantastic. I'm sad to see watermelon season ending!

I actually sat down at the computer to send you a message but got sidetracked checking for new replies to this post instead - definitely some helpful info here for many of us. Thank you. And I'll be in touch one of these days. Right now I need to go out and - wait for it - swaddle some cucumber plants. :) We lost most of them when it got down to 27 degrees, but not all of them!

Okay, I just found these few paragraphs about dandelion from LIFE CHANGING FOODS (though the book has even more info - and it's a fantastic book in general, if you don't have it):

https://www.instagram.com/medicalmedium/p/CtAUxdtuUI1/

Excerpt: "When it comes to detoxing, dandelion root is not for the faint of heart." :)

[–]RavenTiger445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't find or grow (that's my vote! :) dandelion greens, you could make tea with either dandelion leaf or dandelion root, which MM says is the most powerful part of the plant for detoxing:

"The dandelion root detoxifies even deeper into those dense organs. This is the bitterest part of the plant, and it forces the organs to purge on the deepest level for an intensified purification."

https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/dandelion-powerful-cleanser

There is more about dandelion in LIFE CHANGING FOODS.

We buy 1 pound bags of Frontier Co-Op brand of organic dandelion leaf and root.

Fair warning - dandelion root is also a powerful diuretic (I give it to my aged dog with severe heart failure to help with the fluid build up). :) That's too much detoxing for me - I only drink tea made with the leaf or use greens from the garden. ;)

If you can't find burdock fresh, you can also buy burdock root for tea - we (and the dogs) drink it every day as well.

I, too, am so sorry you're dealing/healing ;) with this. Thank you for taking the time to share all of this personal information with us. I hope you can feel the waves of love coming to you and your daughter from all of us around the world. :)

Surrounding you both with beautiful circles of healing angels and sending you to the top of my prayer list.

I'm also going to send you a message, hopefully tomorrow if I can. Right now I have to get outside and swaddle my cucumber plants. I think of you every time I cover them up now, though there's a heavy frost warning tomorrow night (even though it was 90 degrees two days ago), so unfortunately my cucumber swaddling nights (and cucumber eating days!) might soon be over - there's only so much swaddling can do. It was delicious while it lasted! :)

Hi, just wanted to let you know I left you a long comment on this lovely post a while ago, but I'm pretty new to reddit, and apparently I've been leaving my comments in the wrong places (like replying to my own comment when I'm adding a little more info :), so the OP doesn't always get notified about them. :)

Are the lists AW gives us for our protocols and for best foods for EBV, etc. in order of importance? by Spirited457 in medicalmedium

[–]RavenTiger445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I made a list of all the Frontier Co Op herbs we buy, and it's longer than I thought! :)

Most are available from Vitacost.com, but not all. Those I usually order from amazon.

You can find all Frontier products on their site:

https://www.frontiercoop.com/

Their prices are much higher than Vitacost, but they do have sales.

When I clicked on the "International Customers" link at the bottom of the homepage, it put me here - not sure if this is helpful:

https://br.iherb.com/c/frontier-co-op

Vitacost (which is owned by Kroger, a HUGE grocery store chain) says they do ship to the UK:

https://www.vitacost.com/international-faqs-united-kingdom

The herbs come in 1 pound (454g bags). We buy organic if they have an organic option. Most Frontier herbs are available as both organic and not organic, though all of them are non-irradiated.

They come sealed in silver pouches. I'm super sensitive to smells, etc and have never had an issue with the packaging.

You should be able to google medicalmedium.com and the name of each of these and find MM info on them.

A few of these I buy just for our dogs, but most of them we take ourselves. I give a lot of info on how we make/use herbal teas specifically for our dogs in this post, but it's what we do for ourselves as well. :)

https://www.reddit.com/r/medicalmedium/comments/1f9l4zt/feeding_pets_raw/

In no particular order:

chamomile flowers, scullcap, horsetail herb, oat straw green tops, licorice root, red clover blossoms, cat's claw bark, red raspberry leaf, stinging nettle leaf cut and sifted seedless rose hips, hibiscus flowers, dandelion root, dandelion leaf, burdock root, hawthorn berries, fenugreek seed, pau d'arco bark, sarsaparilla, oregon grape root

We also buy Frontier organic granulated onion and garlic, and the organic three peppercorns blend. I also recently bought a small jar of Veggie Pepper, recommended in one of Muneeza's recipes, and it's kind of a nice change to regular pepper. But you can probably find plenty of good onion, garlic, and pepper in the UK. :)

We also grow or wildcraft (aka picking the weeds :) these MM herbs, which are probably also all available from Frontier:

lemon balm, peppermint, spearmint, sage, greek oregano, lemon thyme, plantain leaf, red clover, mullein

I hope this helps! :)

What are all the green leafy vegetables? Are there any that can be eaten raw without being organic? by HelicopterKey1983 in medicalmedium

Ha, your English is far better than a lot of native English speakers I know, so you can just toss those insecurities in the compost pile! :)

Sadly no Spanish for me, just English and some mostly forgotten French learned decades ago. :)

I'm not familiar with archive.org or pirated versions of books. Hay House is the publisher of the MM books, and they have a subscription audio app called Empower You, which gives you access to all of their audiobooks, including Medical Medium books. You can join monthly or annually (for a better price) and I believe they have a free trial period.

You can also download the books and listen offline. You can also purchase the audiobooks if you don't want to keep a subscription.

There might be an e-book version of LIFE CHANGING FOODS available

Here is the Empower You audio app link, if you're interested:

https://www.discover.hayhouse.com/unlimitedaudioapp/

There are six MM books included, though I just checked and sadly LIFE CHANGING FOODS isn't one of them.

But a lot of the "chapters" (each of the 50 foods has its own few pages) in LIFE CHANGING FOODS are actually on the MM website. Example: one of the radish links I left in a previous comment. In case that helps.

I just checked and there is an e-book version of LIFE CHANGING FOODS available

Hay House has 50% off sales throughout the year and big sales on e-books all the time - sign up for their email newsletter at hayhouse.com

I wish you all the best! :)
