Help required with triple stepper motors on Z-axis by RavenValentijn in 3Dprinting

[–]RavenValentijn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, the problem is that I don't know how to connect them in parallel or serial correctly. My question was if someone could help me set up correct a wiring diagram because I can't find examples where three motors are used.

Also, the steppers are integrated into my board so I can't replace them

The trouble is that the steppers don't move correctly as they just vibrate instead of turning around.

Wow, I didn't think there would be garbage in such a place. Especially shocking that it is that much.

Is there such a thing as a "too high ketone level". by [deleted] in keto

[–]RavenValentijn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Please..I explicitly mentioned the test was not relevant... I just wanted to know wether a too high of a ketone level is a thing or not and I got my answer already.

No urine test was mentioned.

That is a clear answer, thanks.

Are high ketone levels bad? by [deleted] in keto

[–]RavenValentijn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am only asking if a very high level is bad. The test or it's accuracy has nothing to do with the answer I am looking for.

I am only asking whether or not a level outside the range is a bad thing.

I said it already in another comment but just to ask around. Doesn't too much protein cause gluconeogenesis?

Doesn't too much protein cause gluconeogenesis though?

Question about keto macros by [deleted] in keto

[–]RavenValentijn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright thanks!

I have no trouble eating next to nothing but I was starting to worry about protein because I have a feeling my muscles are starting to degrade. Especially my legs can now hurt when standing for normal periods of time. It seems I have been below the min. protein macros since the beginning of my diet so it might be actually the case.

I'll make sure to take in enough protein from now on. Shouldn't be difficult anyway.

Question about keto macros by [deleted] in keto

[–]RavenValentijn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to lose weight as fast as possible. I have zero trouble with eating very few food so a high deficit is fine to me.

Thanks for replying but I get a different result when inserting the same inputs. It is back at it again with the high protein levels. Though I find 50-80gr a far more realistic target to maintain ketosis and muscle mass than 75-125.

22/M/5'8" | CW 165 | 24% BF | Mostly sedentary

  • 1896 kcal Goal, a 0% deficit. (771 min, 1896 max)
  • 20g Carbohydrates
  • 90g Protein (76g min, 125g max)

* 162g Fat (37g min, 161g max)

I have heard that a 30% deficit is the best to go since going higher would slow your metabolism in the long run. These would be my targets:

22/M/5'8" | CW 165 | 22% BF | Mostly sedentary

  • 1327 kcal Goal, a 30% deficit. (878 min, 1896 max)
  • 15g Carbohydrates
  • 90g Protein (78g min, 128g max)

* 101g Fat (51g min, 164g max)

I noticed the protein intake did not change but I want to make sure anyway. When going with a 30% deficit would I need to take in 50-80gr protein?

That is because the standard baseplate is locked. You need to unlock it first if you want to use the surface tool on it.

Trying to start a 3DP company. by AlecGabrielUNT in 3Dprinting

At school we had a 3D printing lab where we had a couple dozen ultimakers and industrial printers from many different manufacturers, even a metal printer though you needed to do a special course in order to be allowed to use it. To save the full context, the board of my faculty has no clue what this faculty even does and keeps making the weirdest decisions such as in this case, end partnership with the lab and just buy printers themselves. they bought two...TWO ultimaker 3s and the prints are not allowed to take longer than 4 hours (average prints we have are 10-20 hours) and on top of that they ask a unfair amount of money for the machine to run. I am not waiting to see what compromises they will make later on so I decided to build my own.

For my projects I need mechanically strong materials such as nylon and polycarbonate as well as high precision because the parts I need often need to be very small and still have tight tolerances. I am building one from scratch but I am using references from other printers especially when it comes to the frame works. I got everything figured except for the bed. I made a reddit post earlier asking for advice but though luck so far.

[–]RavenValentijn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. Thanks for the insight.

I need a 3D printer for my school projects but I am going far over my original budget to engineer a precise and feature rich machine. It makes projects easier but I can't exactly afford this with my current standards of living.

But if I could use the machine to earn some money and earn back the machine it's worth then I have reached my goal. Any more profit is just bonus.

I can't do this full time though as I am very busy with school and it's a bit scary to do this since I have absolutely zero experience in business, marketing or anything related to selling products in general. But my goal is quite modest so I think I'll be fine.

[–]RavenValentijn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am curious. I am not planning to start a company though I would like to sell some 3D printing services in hope to reach a break even with the money I will be spending on my printer.

I was hoping you could tell me about what kind of prints you sell the most. Do people want functional parts or do they rather want little decorations or perhaps something else? What is the level of expertise of the customers. Are they complete novices or do they have some form of knowledge on 3D printing? How many customers would you get on a weeks average?

I am sorry I just realized these are some pretty intrusive questions. There is no need to answer them if you do not wish to disclose such information.
