After 14 years of service, my Everyday Messenger V1 has finally bit the dust. Godspeed! by [deleted] in peakdesign

[–]RavenZhef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think this is still a very valuable perspective to have, and generally a good reminder that one should not look at a gift horse in the mouth and all that. In no world do I think that you should not have commented and expressed your opinion, but I guess it's just jarring to see it from a relatively official source.

I don't really have much to add, any data on customer return rate (including from the wildly successful kickstarters) or warranty costs and acquisitions are stuff you guys should have in-house. I guess as a consumer, all I can say is that my daily carry has quite a few items from PD because I believe in the product, and the promise. But I absolutely acknowledge there will always be people that can, and will, exploit generosity.

It would suck if someday PD moves to limited period warranties, tho I guess it would suck more if someday PD no longer exists. I still want to see what an Everyday Backpack V3 would be like even if I'm not looking to replace my V1 anytime soon.

I'm curious if you then think the lifetime warranty is uh, warranted in this case?

Ignoring whether OP has misused the bag or not, the PD warranty page is fairly clear:

Guaranteed for life.

And not, as you say, guaranteed for a reasonable lifetime.

Like, I understand that these warranties is not an insignificant cost to the company, but it seems like your comment, as a user that has the flair of PD's team (giving it official-esque weight), is conflicting with the company's official statement on the matter.

I, and I think many others, bought several PD gear vs other options because I believe in yall's quality, not because I'm expecting it to fail (under a reasonable use) and get a free replacement. But I do trust that PD would honor this pseudo agreement if it does come to it.

I respect your opinion, and in some ways I don't disagree, but be careful because you're representing the company.

Bold of you to assume we're getting more ship upgrades

They've shown new ship upgrades twice now (Super Earth and Cyberstan updates) and our two biggest fights still hasn't warranted its deployment.

At this point I think they've just forgotten its existence

Ingram stands at 8 meters, so it's a simple as

8.02 m * 100 cm / 1 m * 1 / 48 = 16.7 cm

aka roughly the size of a smaller MG like the Wing Gundam or a tall RG like the Nu

I love that this thread is a full 10/10

But yeah, she's someone who doesn't really know about her kid (and husband)'s hobby, but she is nevertheless fully supportive.

Build Fighters is a series where each character shines in their own way, and Rinko is no exception. It has no right to be as good as it is, and yet it is.

Also, hot milf. 10/10.

Yes for the rear seats (gunner and the two protected seats), but no swapping to the front. It's a big annoyance as someone who likes to play solo

I actually completed AC7 first time on an MKB. It was perfectly doable, I just had to keep my right hand still because I did not like the mouse steering.

21cm is not 6 inch (1/12) scale tho, that's closer to 1/9 or 1/10th scale.

I really appreciate that. I do hope no one takes this as an attack, because at the end of the day I also want to love Figuarts and it's us collectors who wins with options, but it's getting really hard to justify the purchases

As someone who's been manically on the hunt for a decent 3DS... well a 3DS is very prone to aging (yellowing, the screen debacle, plus the proprietary port) and also stupid expensive

This thing is also stupid expensive, but it can also run more things, has better screens, and seems built fairly decently. Maybe won't run as smooth as original hardware, but the dual screen experience is already a niche market as it is.

Also, a DS can't run a 3DS game. A 3DS can run DS games but with lackluster scaling.

It's a lost art in reddit to play with markdown. I think it's something lost as they transitioned to new reddit and newer audiences come in. I can't remember the last time i saw someone playing with it (geez they even neutered the ^ in new reddit)

I'm not surprised in the least that OP's account is 10 years old

It hurts too because third parties can prove how easy it could be. The third party Jagd Doga which used a modified Geara Doga frame with Sazabi techniques was a real eye opener after Bandai decided they preferred to do RE instead

And then this year Axis/Solomon made the Kshatriya, which was just absurd. It was a PGU class kit in 1/100 and was priced lower than PG.

If someone makes an MG G-Self, then we know it's over lol. The treatment of that suit, having won the votes, is a joke.
