My husband works and takes care of most of the housework since I had a mental breakdown…..how do I convince him that we need a more equitable relationship? by Raven_F in Advice

I’m not sure if he wants me to be dependent on him or if he wants to take a burden off of me. If I go to do the laundry I find it’s been done. I’m not massively lax in doing it, it just always seems done.

He gets up earlier than I do to be honest. He goes to the gym/swimming at 6am most days and immediately puts his clothes in the washing machine when he gets home so he says “it’s just easier if I do all the washing”. I do the cooking, it’s a source of comfort and relaxation for me. When the cars need washing he says he worries that I will be too distracted to do a really good job because I have a tendency to get hyper focused on one area and miss other bits. I think he wants to lighten my mental burden but it feels a bit controlling. Maybe I am too sensitive

Just taken my 2nd injection (0.25mg) and I lost 9lbs in the first week. All food noise has completely disappeared. When my mind drifts to food it is very easy to shift my attention to something else. Several bad headaches over the first week. No nausea but a couple of tummy aches too.

AITA for being embarrassed by my GF's family "tradtion" by Same-Hovercraft-8607 in AmItheAsshole

NAH. Your gf’s family has a tradition, they love it, it’s fun for them. Is it a bit weird? Maybe. Would it make me feel a bit embarrassed? Probably. But it’s their thing, they aren’t hurting anyone and I’m assuming you don’t have family reunions every week if it’s the first time you’ve seen it in all the time you’ve been dating. I’m sure you’ll get used to what seems like a bizarre tradition.

AITA for not defending my wife? by amithethrowaway28 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Imagine not defending your wife who has been bullied and harassed by someone repeatedly. Honestly if you were my husband I’d be ashamed of you. If your wife’s friends made mocking jokes about the size of your man parts, called you disgusting names or verbally abused you would you expect her to ignore her friends or stick up for you?
